This afternoon on ‘Show and Tell’ I would like to introduce you to Moore and Moore Photography, who are Helen and Tony based in Hampshire. They describe their style as ‘a mix of classic and modern with a fashion edge’. The couple take pride in their technical kit and are keen to offer a first class service to each and every one of their wedding clients. Helen and Tony have been kind enough to answer some questions for us and to share with us some of their favourite images.
Where are you based?
Based in Fleet, Hampshire. Would love to shoot a destination wedding, so if you’re looking for a wedding photographer for your Caribbean wedding, we’re your team.
How would you describe your style?
A complimentary mix of classic and modern with a fashion edge.
What is your favorite bit of technical kit?
We love all our kit…. Helen loves the ‘fast-glass’ (lenses to everyone else) that will get super shots in low lighting without flash and that provide super shallow depth of field, Tony is definitely into the real techy stuff and loves being creative with flash lighting.
What makes you different to your competitors?
Us! When you choose your photographer it’s not just the style or quality of the photography, and we pride ourselves on providing style and quality, but we’re relaxed and friendly and that also shows in our clients photographs.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
Creating photography art and seeing our clients’ faces when they see their pictures for the first time. We’ve had tears (good tears!) from clients when they see their photographs.
What is your biggest achievement so far?
Tony having an image selected for the Royal Photographic Societies Images for Screen Exhibition. A global competition where only a small number of images make the selection.
What sort of couple do you think you attract?
Couples that appreciate the importance of wedding photography, and all that it holds.
What would be your ideal wedding to work on?
A couple who are inspired by wedding photography and are relaxed and are themselves in front of the camera.
Who is your favorite photographer and why?
David Bailey.
What in your opinion makes the perfect photo?
One that you love to look at! Great composition and technical perfection can make a photo good but at the end of the day you have to love it too.
What is your favorite photo that you have taken?
Helen “Tough call… I’ve taken a lot of photos that I consider favourites but recently it would have to be some night shots of the poppies at the Tower of London. Tony and I were up at 4a.m. to get to London for them and putting in that sort of effort always pays off.”
What advice would you give couples when choosing their wedding photographer?
Do you like the photographic style…. Connect with the photographer – do you feel comfortable, do you like them. Remember they’re going to be with you for the whole day!!
Can you give me some information on your pricing structure?
Our all-inclusive Wedding Collections start at £850 or you can go ‘A la Carte’, and choose!
What is your ideal way to spend a day off?
Find a coffee shop and relax
What can you never leave the house without?
Lipstick…. Obviously Helen said that.
What would you do if you won the lottery?
Buy a Yacht (Helen), Maserati (Tony)
