Tahia and Trevenn’s Three Dresses for a Three Day Wedding in Canada by Vanilla Cloud Photography

Some weddings I get to feature on the blog are simple, understated and often minimal. Others are big, elaborate and full of glam details, today’s wedding is the later and I have to say pretty damn epic! Tahia and Trevenn were married on 1st September 2023 in Ontario Canada. In fact their wedding was spread out across 3 days and really was quite the spectacle! And with 3 weddings comes 3 wedding dresses, 3 sets of decoration and 3 times the fun! Vanilla Cloud Photography was there to capture each day for us.

A few words form the couple

Looking back to the 3 most amazing days of our lives, our wedding was nothing short of amazing, and we can’t help but smile thinking about what made it all come together so perfectly. Most importantly, it was us, our love, our connection. Seeing each other at the other end of the aisle, saying our vows, and making those promises that felt so real and true. That set the tone for everything that followed, and I couldn’t be happier about the journey we’ve officially started together.

But what came before that was the planning. Every detail, from the 3 venue’s; St. Euegene De Mazenod Church, The Gardens Event Centre, and Parkview Manor were meticulously thought out. From the décor and flowers at each location, to the outfits we both wore, witnessing months of planning come together in the way we envisioned set the tone for how special these days really were. Our wedding couldn’t have been as special as it was without the people in it. The way our friends and family came together to celebrate us, everyone contributed into making this day successful. Many family and friends travelled from near and far and it meant the most to us that they could be share the day with us. We are forever grateful for the love and support we received from everyone. Each person added something special, making it not just a wedding but a collective celebration of love and togetherness.

Can we talk about the mix of traditions? Tahia, culturally from Bangladesh, and Trevenn, from Sri Lanka, created a wedding that incorporated traditions from both, bringing in bits and pieces of our histories and cultures to make it uniquely ours. It wasn’t just a ceremony; it was a blend of who we are individually and who we’re becoming together.

If we were to summarize the 3 days in a word, that word would be, energy. The positive, infectious energy that filled the air. From the vibrant entrances, rehearsed dances, to the toasts, there was this overwhelming feeling of joy and love throughout.

There were many reasons that made this day special to us, but most of all, it was us. Not once did we forget that we were there for each other, for our love, for our wedding. To the incredible journey we’ve officially begun and to the memories we created with the people we hold dear. Our wedding wasn’t just an event; it was the start to our forever.
