Today’s wedding takes us across the UK to the countryside of Ribchester in Preston. Hannah and William were lucky enough to get married at their parents farm, with the ceremony held at the local church. They filled their day with lots of pretty rustic touches, all with a nod to the gorgeous english countryside around them. From the beautiful flowers to the bunting, to the burlap and decorative hoops, this wedding is oozing country charm and pretty details. Big thanks to Delicious Photography for capturing it so well.
Hannah and William were married on 22nd July 2017 at St Peter and St Paul, Stydd Lane, Ribchester in Preston. The reception was held at our Parents House, Oak Bank Farm, Ribble Valley Holiday Cottages. It is Hannah’s family home, she grew up there. We had around 115 guests and it took one year exactly to plan.

Here at Boho, as I’m sure you know, I love an outdoor wedding. Whether it is an outdoor ceremony, an outdoor reception or the whole day held outside, I just love seeing couples express themselves, go against tradition and hold their wedding alfresco enjoying the open air and the freedom that holding an outdoor wedding gives them. However, there can be a number of things that you need to think about when planning an outdoor wedding. It’s best to have your planning hat on and get everything locked in and in order if you are planning a day outside. To help you along I have invited the entertainment experts at Alive Network to provide some inspiration to guide you with your planning and to give you a few ideas for your entertainment.
Have your heart set on an outdoor wedding or an alfresco blessing filled with fun, music and entertainment? These ideas will help you plan it like a pro.
The plan: Prelude: 30 mins of music as your guests arrive
Ceremony: 3–4 hand-picked songs for your entrance, signing of the register, and recessional

Well hello everyone and welcome along to another fabulous week on the blog. Did you have a good weekend? I do hope so! Mine was lovely, if not a little noisy as I had 2 four-year old birthday parties to attend this weekend, one on Saturday and one on Sunday! This week we have lots of lovely weddings to share with you and I am starting you off with a trip to Yorkshire for the wedding of Becca and Jon. Becca and Jon knew they wanted an outdoor glamping wedding and what better place to hold it than the place where Jon proposed to Becca. They filled their day with lots of DIY details aswell as an eclectic mix of decoration following their Pre-Raphaelite theme. Lots of colour, textures and of course Becca’s amazing multicoloured wedding dress! A really stunning woodland wedding all captured perfectly by One Love by Gary Phillip.
Becca and Jon were married on 17th July 2017 at Camp Katur, Kirklington, Yorkshire. ‘We’d been to the venue before for a festival and fallen in love with it. Jon proposed there on the glamping site. When we were looking for a wedding venue we looked around four other venues with glamping sites that were closer to where we lived, but we didn’t find anywhere that we liked as much as Camp Katur. We had 60 guests and it took about 18 months to plan.’

Happy Friday everyone, I hope you have all had a great week! It’s been a busy one here at Boho HQ, so I have to admit I’m pretty excited for the weekend. I have two 4 year old’s birthday parties to attend this weekend, so lots of sausage rolls and birthday cake for me I’m sure! What are your plans?
We are finishing off the week with a little trip to Devon for the wedding of Megan and Alex. They chose a traditional church service followed by a pretty rustic country-style wedding. My favourite aspect of this wedding is the gorgeous flowers, which were all home grown by Megan’s mum. Add in the cake made by Alex’s mum, the dress made by a family friend, the stationery made by Alex and lots of decor made by the couple, then this really is a hands on, homespun wedding. All captured perfectly by Jennifer Jane Photography.
Megan and Alex were married on 16th September 2017, they held their ceremony at St Gregory’s Church, Venn Ottery, Devon, with the reception at Cadhay House and Gardens. ‘Although we live in London now, we are locals to the Sidmouth/Ottery St Mary area in Devon and so we were already aware of Cadhay House before we got engaged. We chose it because it is simply a fairytale location! We also loved the freedom of being able to use the barn and gardens however we wanted to. We had a choice of churches within the Parish where my Mum lives, and St Gregory just had such a magical feeling when we visited. It’s a very old church and very small, and it felt really romantic. We had 80 guests for the ceremony and dinner (including some small children) and an extra 20 for the evening. We took around 15 months to plan it, from choosing the venue onwards.’
