‘Nordic Christmas’ Magical Scandinavian Christmas Wedding Inspiration

Happy Monday everyone, how are you all doing? I hope you had a festive filled weekend? Now it’s December it’s officially OK to talk about Christmas and with only 3 weeks till the big day I can’t wait to share with some fun filled Christmas content. I thought I would start the week with this gorgeous festive shoot.  As soon as this shoot landed in my inbox I knew I had to share it with you. I do love a festive shoot and this one is so pretty. I love a bit of Scandinavian styling, it’s so simple and modern, the way I will definitely be decorating my house at Christmas once Dexter is a bit older! The shoot took place in October at Aston Hill Barns in Matlock, Derbyshire. It features a real couple and I just love it, I hope you do too.

Christmas is a time that’s full of magic and a Christmas wedding should be no different but such magic doesn’t have to be created with tinsel and baubles. This Scandinavian Christmas wedding shoot, set at Aston Hills Barn in Matlock, took inspiration from nature to create an incredibly enchanting backdrop for an intimate ceremony and reception.

Ansley and Salem’s Simplistic Micro Wedding in Costa Rica by Treehouse 1987 Photography Company

Happy 1st December everyone, I hope you are all well and happy and starting to get into the Christmas spirit? As it is now December, for me it’s officially Christmas, although it’s been Christmas for a week already in our house! The Christmas jumpers have had a dusting off and the Christmas earrings are on and we are good to go! Tonight we are off to see Disney on ice, which should be amazing! Then tomorrow in contrast to Disney, Nik and I are off to Manchester for a  hacienda reunion night at The Warehouse project. Sunday if I am awake enough we are off to the Victorian Christmas market, so a very busy weekend all round. First though I have the wedding of Ansley and Salem who were married on 26th March 2022 at El Chante in Costa Rica. They held an intimate wedding, with muted tones and natural shades of green and cream. An adventure weekend where all the guests could take part in a variety of exciting activities, which was perfect for this adventures couple. Big thanks to Mil Besos Costa Rica for the wonderful submission and to Treehouse 1987 Photography Company for the gorgeous images.

The Best Time to Visit Kenya

June to October is the best time to visit Kenya for your honeymoon, when there’s almost no rain and the daytime temperature is not extremely hot. Therefore, you’ll have a great time exploring the great outdoors and taking on safari adventures. But given Kenya’s moderate climate and diverse geography, it can be a great place to visit any time of the year.

The peak season for a safari in Kenya is between January and the end of March, when the climate is mild and mostly dry, leading to a fantastic game-viewing experience. But since it’s the peak season, you can expect thick crowds in some of the country’s top national parks. If you want to enjoy your safari adventure with less distraction, try to visit during the shoulder season, between mid-March and June or between November and December. Aside from avoiding the peak season crowds, you can take advantage of cheaper off-season rates.

Couples heading to Kenya for a beach honeymoon can visit at any time of the year. Kenya’s coastline lies along the Indian Ocean, which is hot and humid all year round.
