Happy Monday everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend? If you followed the blog over the weekend you will know that the lovely Laura who writes for the diary of a boho bride married her now husband Chris. They managed to dodge the rain and have the outdoor ceremony they wanted, complete with Tipi, melted marshmallows, a load of DIY details and lots and lots of fun! It was a fantastic day, I can’t wait for Laura to share the photos with us. I’d like to take this opportunity to wish them all the best in their married life, I’m sure they have many, many years of happiness in front of them!
So now it’s onto today’s wedding which comes all the way from San Diego, California. It’s the amazing wedding of Taylor and Alex were married on 6th October. The wedding is full of Bohemian loveliness, plenty of DIY details and a love of all things Whimsical. Personally I am loving the gorgeous beach wedding and the amazing outfits, the wedding party look immense! Thanks to Kelley McGee from Studio Sequoia for the images.
Taylor and Alex are bohemian star-crossed lovers with a pinch of cosmic whimsy… Taylor contacted us to photograph their Beatles inspired engagement session back in June and immediately called us back to shoot their wedding set (at the time) for the summer of June 2013. But about a week before signing a contract for a summer wedding, the couple called stating there was no way they were going through with the lavishly traditional 200+ guest wedding and wanted to tie the knot that October. Technically we didn’t have room in our schedule… our studio has a two wedding a month limit but for this couple, we HAD to make room. Quickly things got fantastical! The bride started to think, magical forest fairy land and the sparkles, glitter and woodland creatures began to find themselves everywhere. The couple borrowed a friend’s front yard in Point Loma and scampered to score one of the last beach permits left and the magic just kept finding itself in everything… there was even a rainbow! All you see here was created by the talented bride and her adoring husband… it was a wedding made in mystical fairyland heaven and when we began editing the photos, the bride requested that we match each photo filter to her favorite Instagram filters to make things more… them

I LOVE this wedding!!! Where did the bride get her dress? I’ve never seen anything like it, it’s so awesome and I love how it matches the bridesmaids!!! And the wishing lanterns are fantastic! I’ve NEVER seen a wedding like this, it’s so amazing and unique. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Sarah
I think the dress is from Free People.
xx
Oh my god i love this wedding.
They are too cool.
I love the lantern shots and the single file across the road. Awesome shots!
I’m impressed, I must say. Actually rarely do I encounter a blog that’s each educative and entertaining, and let me tell you, you may have hit the nail on the head. Your concept is excellent; the difficulty is something that not sufficient individuals are talking intelligently about. I’m very completely happy that I stumbled across this in my seek for something relating to this.
