It’s Tuesday afternoon, so I have another wonderful DIY project for you. I am delighted to invite Chloe from Adore By Chloe back to the Blog, as she shares with us yet another of her wonderful DIY wedding projects.
Today Chloe is talking about Wedding favours and how to create something cheep but incredibly pretty and full of colour and fun for your wedding guests. They are quick and easy to make as well, so you don’t have to be supper creative to make them yourself.
I love gifts that are personalised, handmade and a little bit different, it shows that someone really cares and the same goes for wedding favours…
Rather than being just another expense on your budget spread sheet they can be a really fun way to get crafty and add a thoughtful touch to thank your guests!
Here’s one idea that costs very little and will make your table look really pretty too so it’s a win win.
A terracotta plant pot
A few different coloured paints
A paint brush
A pencil, bamboo skewer or something you can use to stamp with!
Step 1 ~ Paint your plant pot white, it may need a couple of coats and it’s up to you how solid you’d like the background to be!
Step 2 ~ Set out a little dollop of all your paint colours on a plastic try (I used an old Tupperware lid!) then simply dip the end of your pencil into the paint then press onto the plant pot to create polka dots
Step 3 ~ Build up the pattern with different colours and sized dots until your happy then allow the paint to dry
Step 4 ~ Add potting soil and a small plant or insert little jam jars with fresh flowers to create a lovely gift for your guests that they can use again at home…
TOP TIPS:
♥ Herb plants add even more to this gift as your guests will also be able to use them for cooking too!
♥ If you’re using them as wedding favours insert a bamboo skewer with a little place card on the top to double up as pretty place name settings on your tables
