Today I am taking you back to last year, when the summer extended itself into September and we had a few extra weeks of sunshine. Teela and Matt were married on 25th September 2025 at The Woodlands at Hothorpe in Lutterworth, Leicestershire. Their wedding was the kind of day that had everything. Emotional moments, huge laughs, beautiful autumn light, and a party atmosphere from start to finish. I especially like the gorgeous flowers, the beautiful ceremony arch is just stunning! I’m so pleased they used it again in the reception area, something that pretty needs to be used as much as possible, and always a great idea when planning your wedding flowers. The day is warm, inviting and full of love and smiles, big thanks to Lewis Bishop Photography for the lovely photos.
The day began with relaxed bridal prep in the house beside the venue, including a lovely first look with Teela’s dad, before everyone headed to the outdoor woodland ceremony, where sunshine poured through the trees and there were tears, smiles, and so much emotion.
After that, the energy only grew, with a confetti aisle full of cheers, relaxed portraits around the grounds, a must-have photo on the bridge for one of Teela’s family traditions, and a reception that felt more like a festival than a formal wedding thanks to the drinking games, laughter, and constant buzz from all their guests.
The evening brought a packed dancefloor, beautiful golden hour portraits in the fields, and the kind of natural, joy-filled moments that made this wedding such a pleasure to photograph.
The Woodlands at Hothorpe is a brilliant venue for couples wanting a wedding that feels fun, relaxed, and full of personality, and Teela and Matt’s day was the perfect example of that from beginning to end.
