Carla and Jamie’s Alice in Wonderland Themed Afternoon Tea Backyard Wedding by Luke Whittemore Photography

Happy Friday everyone, I hope you have had a good week so far, are you looking forward to the weekend? My weekend is all about seeing friends. Tonight, we are off to meet up with a friend who is over from Norfolk for the weekend. Saturday we are all going to our friend’s house for dinner, and Sunday we are gong for a walk/go cart ride with some other friends. A busy one, but I’m looking forward to catching up. If you are following my Instagram stories you will know that we are having work done on our house. The builders have knocked through this week, so that has been exiting, if not rather messy and incredibly noisy! So I’m looking forward to seeing what next week brings! On with today’s wedding and it’s the turn of Carla and Jamie who were married on 23rd July 2021 at Oakham Castle in Leicestershire. They held a backyard Alice in Wonderland themed reception at Jamie’s parents home, keeping the day laid back, chilled and full of personality. Big thanks to Luke Whittemore Photography for the fab photos.

Luke Whittemore Photography tells us more abut the day

Jamie & Carla tied the knot in their hometown of Oakham, Leicestershire at the historic site of Oakham Castle, well known for its massive collection of, well, massive horseshoes that adorn the walls!
They then went on to share an intimate afternoon tea with their guests, setting the tone for what was to come through their shared love of Alice in Wonderland.

The wedding reception was held at Jamie’s family home, a secluded backyard, incredibly styled and dressed by ‘More Productions’ in hanging festoons leading down the garden and also from a HUGE weeping willow, that inside housed a bar and instax photobooth.
