Kait and Tim’s Boho Summer Camp Wedding in the Forest of Washington by The Cardinals

Happy Monday everyone and welcome back to the blog. I hope you all had a good weekend and for those of you celebrating Mothers day, I hope you had a lovely day. My weekend was lovely. On Saturday I went down to London to watch Wicked with one of my friends, it was a birthday present from my mum, which meant a lot as she passed away 2 weeks ago, so it made the day even more special. Sunday we took Nik’s mum out for an afternoon tea, it was delicious! So a fabulous weekend all round. I am starting the week off with this super laid back Summer Camp Wedding from The Cardinals. Kait and Tim were married on 20th July 2024 at Shangri-La On The Green in Enumclaw, Washington. The day had a super chill vibe, from the outfits to the decor, to the outdoor ceremony, it was all effortlessly ‘Boho’.

Kait and Tim met us under the most kismet experiences and their wedding day couldn’t have been more of a reflection of them and how they live their life. On the very first day we were living in Washington after moving from NY, we had gone for a visit at the Filson flagship store in Seattle with our puppy, Fern and as soon as we walked in the door we met Kait (who was working there at the time) and ended up hitting it off so well that we stayed and chatted for nearly an hour about life/moving/photography/just about everything. Fast forward 3 years later, we get an email that said since that day she knew she wanted us to be her wedding photographers and that time had finally come! And the rest is history.

Kait and Tim had an incredibly intimate wedding nestled deep in the woods just outside of Seattle, WA at a beautiful summer camp style venue that couldn’t have been more beautiful. With a waterfall ceremony backdrop, plenty of whimsical details, a beautiful log cabin, surrounded by only their closest friends and family. But they personalized just about everything with handmade touches from all of their loved ones. Their rugs for their dance floor were pieces from their home, the bunting that was strung above the tables was handmade by Kaits mom, Tim and their friends DJ’ed throughout the night, and their guest book was in the form of local vintage postcards and polaroid’s that each of their guests could personalize.
