Ashley and Brian’s Romantic Woodsy Warehouse Christmas Wedding by Katie Wood

Today I have my last real wedding of the year and my oh my is it a good one! It is of course a Christmas wedding, and I just adore it! The styling is sooooo gorgeous, rustic, full of natural colours, lots of wood, gorgeous flowers and beautiful detailing……what’s not to love! Ashley and Brian were married on 22nd December 2022 in Murphy, North Carolina. They adore Christmas, so it seemed fitting to get married on their favourite holiday. They really went to town making their warehouse venue full of festive cheer, plenty of fairy lights and of course plenty of Christmas trees. Big thanks to their venue The Hackney Warehouse for the gorgeous submission and to Katie Wood Photo Company for the festive photos.

When we decided to get married we didn’t want to wait. Looking at the calendar, my family was planning to visit for the holidays so that would make it easier on them with travel expenses. Also, our parents, and my grandparents were married the same time of year. At or near Christmas, so it was sentimental. Christmas to me is just naturally beautiful. Lights, sparkle, cheer, love and most importantly celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Celebrating our joy, love and promise to one another with our closest family and friends at such a joyous time of year seemed right. I decided I wanted it to be a more natural woodsy Christmas theme. My husband the avid outdoorsman and also still honing in on the natural beauty of Christmas! Invitations set the mood with a scene of pines layered with a frosted wrap and hand tied with a green velvet ribbon. Trees and lights for sparkle, baby’s breath for the soft touch of sweet and minimal red roses for the pop of colour!
