Vivid and Colourful Fairy Tale Wedding Inspiration

Today I have a super romantic, fairy tale styled shoot to share with you. The shoot took place on 13th December 2021 at Kerrville, Texas and it draws inspiration from the Disney film Tangled. Tangled is a re-make of the classic Disney story Rapunzel. If you have a small child in your household, you will no doubt know it well. Marion Matrimony Events worked with a talented team of suppliers to recreate the mood of the film, especially the part when Rapunzel is in the boat during the festival of lights. These images by  Jillian Hogan Photography are light, bright and full of colour and really captures the essence of the fairy story. Gorgeous inspiration if you are looking to create something bright and romantic.

Cillia from Marion Matrimony Events tells us more about the shoot

This Tangled shoot took place at Sendera Springs in Kerrville, TX. We visited a number of venues looking for the perfect place in the Hill Country, but when I saw that bridge, I knew. I wanted to focus on how a fairy tale wedding could be modern and colourful, not just blingy opulence dripping in ballgowns and white flowers. I focused on a vivid colour story with different shades of purple, pink, and golden yellows. The sun symbol she painted all over her tower, the trailing vines, and the lanterns were essentially in creating this look. I chose a coloured dress from Opal and June instead of white so that all of the details would stand out from the immaculate neutrals and stone at the venue. As I planned details and flowers, I asked myself, what would Rapunzel love and how can I use those things to create a dream wedding? She is portrayed as a fun, organic, adventurous woman in her story and subsequent tv series. Rarely wearing shoes and getting into all kinds of trouble! I think she would be thrilled with a wedding full of playful details, cake that tells her story, sunflowers, and ruffly carnations everywhere.
