I have a truly gorgeous modern, cosy and industrial wedding for you today, all the way from Wisconsin! Aloura and Alex were married on 12th June 2021 in Madison, and they held the most stylish wedding you could wish for. First of all, let’s talk about Aloura’s stunning gown; so sleek and modern and sooooo flattering, she looks amazing! Then there is the beautiful industrial venue, with the most gorgeous decoration, modern and minimal, which works perfectly against the industrial backdrop. Then, of course, there are the dogs, in my opinion, every wedding ceremony should have at least 2 dogs, and this wedding has just that and what a brilliant addition they are! Overall this wedding is sweet, stylish, and so full of love, all captured perfectly by Ali Lockery Photography.
Aloura and Alex’s wedding day was so unique and special! This breath-taking wedding is cozy, lively, and elegant while taking place right in the heart of Madison’s newest downtown venue, the Tinsmith. Their inspiration was to make their wedding day homey. which is why it was so important for them to focus on hospitality and a sharing of a family meal on their special day.
The Tinsmith venue is a gorgeous newly remodelled industrial venue boasting the most beautiful Solarium with an abundance of tropical plants. High ceilings, the most amazing retro green and gold bar, and modern accents, it’s no wonder that The Tinsmith is absolutely booked every single weekend, Friday-Sunday.
We love how the couple added the 6 chandeliers with trailing greenery, while keeping their tables minimal (candles only) so that it would be easy to share a family-style meal among all the guests. Overall, this wedding was an absolute dream and we can’t wait to relive it over and over again.
Proposal Story: Alex proposed the day I moved back to the States from Shanghai in the home we now live in. It was also my first time in our house since we purchased it (we bought it while I was abroad still). My parents, his parents, and our dogs were all there to surprise me.
The planning process: Unlike most weddings that happened during 2020, this couple originally started off knowing they would have an intimate ceremony. Expecting only 12 people, they planned to keep things small and cozy, but with Madison opening up and a year of not having many festivities, in addition to their ceremony venue canceling last minute, they decided to move their entire wedding to the Tinsmith, with the same 12 people (plus 2 dogs) in their ceremony and a much larger reception to celebrate! Best of both worlds.
I especially love the dress and chandeliers here. Stunning!
Just look at that vintage venue! Wow! Definitely sharing with my brides. They will fight to book them, I’m sure ;)
