Jennie and Jesse’s Rustic and Romantic DIY Fall Wedding by Pink Spruce Photography

Well hello Wednesday, well done for making it to the mid point of the week, I hope you are doing well and have had a good week so far? The weather is looking like it is going to be good for the rest of the week, so let’s get outside and enjoy some sunshine. Today I am taking you to Wisconsin for the delightful wedding of Jennie and Jesse who were married on 20th October at The Barnon Stoney Hill at Cornell. The whole day was totally DIY but done in a very stylish way, filled with personal projects and so much personality. The day has a laid back, chilled vibe and the golden hour portrait shots are absolutely divine! Big thanks to Pink Spruce Photography for the beautiful images.

Rustic and Romantic DIY Fall Wedding in High End Barn

Jennifer from Pink Spuc tells us more about the day

Jennie and Jesse were married at The Barn on Stoney Hill in Cornell, Wisconsin. The day was completely DIY’d (all of the flowers, centerpieces, stationery, attire, etc), but in such a smart way that one may not even realize how much crafting the couple did. Jennie and Jessie made really smart choices to maximize their wedding budget. They chose a venue that was beautiful in and of itself, they chose really smart attire pieces, and they even rented a couch to elevate their photos!

Highlights from the day include:

  • The color palette consisted of sage green, shades of orange, tans, and browns
  • The couple did not want to see each other prior to the ceremony, but did opt to do a “around the door” prayer.
  • The rented couch came in VERY handy when doing some indoor portraits given how cold and WINDY it was
  • Along with renting the couch, they had the same company create a couple of signs using hand calligraphy
  • All of the flowers, stationery, and centerpieces were DIY’d
  • Their unity “candle” was a sign (DIY’d by the couple) with a biblical verse and rope that they braided together during the ceremony
  • Despite the frigid temps and extreme wind, there was a BEAUTIFUL sunset and I took the couple outdoors multiple times for short bits to capture it in different ways (they would warm up and chat with their guests in between)
