After the fantastic result in the football yesterday I feel there may be a few sore heads around today! So to make your day a little easier I have this beautiful tipi wedding to share with you. It’s a stunning Suffolk wedding, filled with English charm, vintage inspiration and full of rustic touches. Becca and Bradley chose their venue due to its relaxed nature and stunning wildflower garden and bluebell woods, I mean what’s not to love! They filled their tipi reception with the most gorgeous hand crafted decoration, personal touches and the best of memories. The whole day is filled with smiles, good times and the happiest of couples. Big thanks to Beth Beresford Photography for the images.
Becca and Bradley were married on 20th July 2019 at Freston Church and The Boot in Freston in Suffolk. ‘The church and venue were so close It made it easy for our guests to be able to walk. we also loved the grounds of the Boot there was a wildflower garden, a little forest nearby ( locally known as bluebell woods) and the location was just beautiful and perfect for a really relaxed, vibe. We had 50 guest in the day and 25 in the evening. It took 12 Months to plan.’
How they met
We have been together for 8 years and met when we worked together.
The proposal
Along the Mistley walls…. Brad knows I love being outdoors but that morning he had to literally drag me out of bed. I was a little miserable and didn’t feel like a muddy walk but my day soon turned around!!
How did you allocate your budget?
The most money was spent on the venue (tipi) and food. The second larger amount was securing the band. We had wanted Jupiter Ray since seeing them perform at an ‘under the sea’ charity fancy dress ball at Colchester arts centre. We fell in love with Sam’s voice and instantly knew we wanted him to sing our first dance.
Where did you splurge and where did you save?
Splurge- Band , Food, flowers
Save- my wedding dress (was second hand- something borrowed) and all the decorations were hand lovingly made by myself and my mother in law and sister in law. We made the chair decorations, the party favours (seed bottles) and collected vintage crockery over the year as this was cheaper then renting it….can you believe!
How did you choose your photographer?
My mother in law came across Beth’s Facebook page and showed us. We fell in love with her images and felt she captured them in just the right way. After meeting Beth this confirmed 100% on our minds we wanted us! She made me feel completely at ease and I felt confident she would capture all the little details which were so important to us.!!
The dress
Dress- Maggie Sottero. Shoes- New Look. Jewellery-bumble bee earrings and necklace- Silver Origins of Cornwall
The suit? And bridesmaids?
Jeff Banks- blue and Racing Green waistcoat. Bridesmaids Lavender and from TFNC
Theme or colour scheme
No theme just anything pastel.
Flowers
Pastel… roses, Peonies, Sunflowers, Hydrangea, little Daises, scabiosa, Cornflower…. These were incorporated into my flower crown.

Handing garlands, ladder with flowers, ladder with drinks station, birdcages on tables, crockery, garden games, fire pits …
Food

Wedding cake
Originally meant to be 4 tier naked cake with different flavours decorated by flowers. Had a bit of a disaster and the cake collapsed but the venue did the best they could and we still had a wacky cake anyway.
Entertainment
Sam Ryder acoustic- set while guests arrive. Jupiter Ray- live music band for evening. Winnie vintage caravan photo booth.
Who supplied the stationery?
We made these all ourselves.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We went to Egypt as I wanted to see the Pyramids…we won’t mention that we got very ill so are still planning to actually have our honeymoon!!
Personal touches
Favours, invites, guest book, chair decorations and little flower jugs around the tipi. Seating plan.
Special moments
The tipi and the band singing our first dance.
Advice for other couples?
Don’t sweat the small stuff it all comes together on the day… even if it doesn’t you still have the best time!
Biggest surprise
How the whole day came together and was the best day of our life!!
