Today I am bringing you some beautiful bright and bold tropical inspired wedding inspiration. Set in two locations this styled shoot starts off in an industrial setting, with clean lines, bright colours, amazing flowers and superb decoration. It then moves to the softer backdrop of the North Carolina beach. The shoot took place on 23rd March this year 2021 at 801 Ocean in Oak Island, North Carolina and it brings so many ideas with it. For years now I have been looking at endless, all be it gorgeous, weddings and styled shoots where white and greenery is the main theme. However, times have changed and now it is all about the brights, which make such a change and really is a breath of fresh air! This shoot is full of vibrant colours and so many stunning flowers and table arrangements. Big thanks to Hen House Photography for the lovely photos and to Blue Satin Bee for submitting it to me.
This bold and bright inspiration shoot blended topical florals with bohemian and modern decor. The venue, 801 Ocean, was the perfect “industrial meets Art Deco” backdrop with it’s exposed steel rafters and floor-to-ceiling arched windows looking out to the Atlantic Ocean. The show-stopping florals from Wild by Nature draw your attention upwards, with both raised and hanging centerpieces filled with vibrant colors, tropical greenery and wisps of pampas plumes. The palmetto palm arbor was a bold statement as it both towered over the indoor ceremony and also served as backdrop for the sweetheart table. The vibrance and mixed metallics of the florals beautifully transitioned from centerpieces to tabletops. Mixing together both modern glassware and flatware with a classic style china plate from Eventworks brought an eclectic feel to the place settings. The bright green monstera place cards from Oh Hey There Amber added a tropical and personal touch to each plate. The cane lounge set, complete with layered rugs and a wooden coffee table, from Martha my Dear, created an intimate locale to enjoy a cocktail with family and friends at sunset. To complete the relaxed, beachside and bohemian look our bride wore a simple off-the-shoulder Lillian West gown from The Little White Dress adorned with an overstated diamond necklace and stunning dangling hoop earrings from Wades Jewelers of Southport.
