Wanda and Scottie’s Intimate Backyard Wedding in South Carolina by Catherine Hurt Photography

Happy Wednesday everyone and well done for reaching the middle of the week, we are now one step closer to the weekend! Like many people who planned weddings last year, Wanda and Scottie had to postpone their original wedding and instead were married on 27th June 2020. They held an intimate backyard wedding at Santee in South Carolina. The whole day is truly beautiful, filled with the most gorgeous green and white decoration, keeping the look clean, modern but filled with local charm and personal touches. The flowers, the backdrop, the cake table, the smores station and the peanut station are all personal favourites of mine. Wanda and Scottie certainly know how to keep their guests happy! Big thanks to Catherine Hurt Photography for the beautiful photos.

Catherine the photographer tells us more about the wedding

This Intimate Backyard Wedding in Charleston was held during the middle of the summer and was absolutely stunning. Wanda and Scottie had to postpone their wedding due to quarantine and the virus. But the second try was perfect!
They had the wedding right beside Lake Marion. The lake served as the perfect backdrop. It was actually a bit foggy outside due to the sand that made its way to the United States this weekend from overseas. But it gave us a little shade and a break from the sun!
There was a family style table on the porch for an intimate dinner. With little keepsakes on each plate. There were multiple desserts to choose from, including a smores table!! That’s where I would’ve been all night if I was a guest! And there was a little cart with peanuts, water and cokes to hold guests over until dinner was served.
