Happy Monday everyone, I hope you had a fantastic weekend. It’s week 2 of the Easter holidays here in Sheffield and I have a fun packed week planned. I’m only in the office for 2 days this week and off out tonight to the theatre, so all is good at Boho HQ, I’m having a lovely time! I am starting the week with the gorgeous wedding of Catherine and Chelsea. The couple wanted a small wedding so the perfect place to hold it was their sisters backyard in Miami. They created an intimate, personal and chilled wedding celebration, both brides wearing Free People dresses and looking beautiful. Liam Collard was there to capture the day in his unique style with the most amazing photography.
Catherine and Chelsea were married on 14th December 2019 at Catherine’s sisters backyard in Miami, Florida. ‘We met in Miami and for both of us it always felt like home. We wanted a small wedding and my sister had the perfect place for it. We both wanted a very natural and casual wedding that felt more like a party so having this event in my sisters backyard was perfect. We had 48 guests.’
How they met
We first met at Juvia, a rooftop restaurant in Miami. I (Catherine) was a hostess and Chelsie was a bartender. The first time we spoke was during an opening shift. It was hot outside so I decided to do my opening work at the bar inside where Chelsie was. I sat at the bar and we started to chat.
The proposal
We went on a trip to California for our 1 year anniversary. We drove to Petaluma, a quiet town not so far from Napa and we stayed in the beautiful countryside. I surprised Chelsie on our first night there and booked a treehouse AirBnb. Chelsie was obsessed with treehouse and tiny homes so she was so excited.
After we checked in, we got dressed to “go to dinner” but I told Chelsie that there was a park nearby that had beautiful sunsets and I wanted to check it out before going in to town. We got to the park and walked up a beautiful hill covered in tall yellow grass.
I placed my cardigan on the grass for us to sit on and at sunset I told Chelsie to close her eyes and stand up. While her eyes were closed, I ripped up a couple pieces of tall grass to spell “Forever?” When I was done I stood up and took Chelsies hand. I told her to look down and open her eyes. She saw my question and a ring laying next to it and said “Are you serious??”. She started crying tears of joy before saying “Yes!”.
The outfits
Bridal gowns: Both gowns were from Free People. Bridal shoes: Chelsie – Frye. Catherine – Steve Madden. Wedding Jewellery: Promise necklaces that Chelsie bought for both of us before the wedding. The rest of the jewelry was ours/borrowed from family for the day.

Theme or colour scheme
No particular theme but we went with outdoor/boho with some Indian touches and rustic / Boho style decoration
Entertainment
Musical Entertainment: Violin/Piano from Eve Smith (Musk For You)
DJ – Savvy Fontana (he played at the restaurant we met in)
Special Moments
Our favourite wedding day moment was the whole ceremony. It was so emotional, funny and beautiful.
