Winter weddings may bring you thoughts of warm cosy fires and dark nights. However, if you are getting married in California like today’s couple then it is a totally different story! Hannah and Ben were married on 7th December 2019 at La Ventura Event Center San Clemente, Orange County in California. However they didn’t get the endless sunshine you normally get with a California wedding, they got rain and lots of it! However they didn’t let this dampen their spirits, they embraced the rain, rocked the wet beach shots and let their day be filled with smiles, fun and so much laughter. Their attention to detail with the decor was second to none, the flowers, the ceremony area, the macrame detailing, all look amazing. But the real stars of the wedding are of course Hannah and Ben themselves. Such a natural couple, so in love and really up for some fun. Big thank to Gabriel Conover Photography for the fab photos.

Gabriel tells us more abut the day

I wish everyone was like Hannah and Ben. They are what I hope my wife and I were like on their wedding day. You see, I love fashion and trends, but I also think it is so important for these things not to distract from the real point behind a wedding. Hannah and Ben had the perfect balance of creating their dream wedding aesthetic at La Ventura, while also letting go of the things that were out of their control. Every single detail was perfectly planned out and intentional. But Hannah and Ben knew that when their wedding day actually came, it was important for them to just take everything in as best as they could and let whatever happens happen.

There are so many things that can easily go wrong on a wedding day. And a lot of those things are completely out of our control. It rained all day at La Ventura on their wedding day. But that did not stop them from having the most incredible day of their lives. They braved the rain the entire day. Even before their ceremony. I gained some awesome friends through this wedding at La Ventura. Hannah and Ben are some of the most incredible people I’ve met! And I can’t believe I got to be such a big part of this day.
