Boho Loves: Blush and Pose Photography – Natural and Modern, Timeless and Classic Wedding Photography

Today I am delighted to introduce you to Caleb & Jasmin from Blush & Pose Photography. Caleb and Jasmin are a husband and wife photography duo, based in Manchester, covering the whole of the UK as well as Europe and Australia. They describe their style as Natural and Modern with a timeless and classic quality mixed in with a bit of mood! Their photography is full of life, laughter and really tells the story of the day. If you are looking for a photographer at the moment, check out their work and see what they have to offer. They also hire out a beautiful looking Photo Booth, which holds up to nine people. What an amazing addition to any wedding!

We are a husband and wife wedding photography team, based in Greater Manchester. We capture weddings with our natural & modern signature style, along with a touch of mood. We also photograph weddings throughout the UK, Europe and Australia. We have also added a unique photo booth to our wedding photography business.

How long have you been taking photos for?
We have been photographing love stories for 5 years, 2 and half of those years have been in Manchester.

When did you start your photography business and what made you start?
Before photographing weddings, we ran a photo booth hire business in Tasmania, Australia (and still do in Manchester). With every weekend filled with the excitement of another celebration and meeting new couples, we realised just how much we looked forward to our job. From there, we expanded and moved into photography too and have loved every minute of it.

How far will you travel for a wedding?
Although we are primarily based in Manchester, we travel anywhere in the UK as well as Europe & Australia. We are always keen to do destination weddings whenever we get the chance.

How would you describe your style?
Our style is definitely natural and modern, leaving your images to look timeless and classic. We love natural light, but we also love moody photographs as well. Although we capture as many candid moments as possible, we also love the traditional look of posed images. We’re a good mix of documentary and traditional photography too.

Who is your favourite photographer and why?
My favourite photographer is Serge Ramelli, a French photographer from Paris. While he is more of a landscape photographer than anything else, he creates unbelievable landscapes of beautiful cities all over the world, especially Europe. I love his editing style and how he brings his images to life in a way that I feel no other photographer does. One of the things I love to do is travel to Europe and try to imitate his landscape photography style.

What is your favourite bit of technical kit?
One of my favourite pieces of camera gear that I always carry around is the nifty 50 (Canon 50mm f1.8 lens). This lens is a great for photographing details at weddings, especially wedding cakes. It’s also a great addition for low light situations where you need a larger aperture to let more light in.

What makes you different to your competitors?
You get two photographers for the price of one, which is rare to find, together with a premium quality photo booth which adds that extra class to every event. Also, as I mentioned earlier, we are Australian so we are a lot of fun to be around.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
We love the diversity of different places we get to work at, as well as culture. Meeting new couples and getting to know their love story is also pretty special

What sort of couple do you think you attract?
Although we attract all sorts of couples, we like to think that we attract the kind of bride and groom that love to take the time out of their special day to get away and have some nice portrait photos together.

What in your opinion makes the perfect photo?
A beautiful sharp image, with some bokeh, capturing a special moment between the bride and groom and edited in our natural, modern style.

What advice would you give couples when choosing their wedding photographer?
Always arrange to meet your photographer/s. This is a great way to get to know each other and discuss all the details about your day. It’s also a perfect opportunity to see more of their portfolio as well as products they may offer. In addition, see if you can get an engagement shoot so you can see their work firsthand before the wedding day.

Can you give me some information on your pricing structure?
We offer a range of different packages to suit all weddings, whether big or small. We always recommend getting in touch if you are looking for a bespoke quote

What is your ideal way to spend a day off?
We like to go for drives and visit new places, go for a hike, visit a nice little café and go out for a meal in the evening with a nice glass of wine.

What can you never leave the house without?
I wish we could say it was our cameras, but its most likely the house and car keys, debit cards and our mobile phones. That being said we love to take every opportunity to go out and snap some photos whenever we can.

What would you do if you won the lottery?
The first thing we would do is buy a property somewhere in the beautiful English countryside with a large block so we can plant a vegetable garden. We would also setup that photography studio we’ve always wanted in a nice little country town somewhere.

If you weren’t running your business, what would you be doing?
Prior to getting into photography, my husband was studying to be a lawyer (and would have been one now) and I would be working for the NHS as an Audiologist
