Katerina and Eric’s Romantic and Emotional Boho Wedding in the Redwoods by Sebastien Bicard Photography

Happy Wednesday everyone. As we reach the mid-point of the week I hope it has been a good one for you so far? The sun is shinning here in Sheffield, I hope it is where you are. It’s half term, which means no homeschooling (thank the lord!!) so Dexter and I are off to the woods this morning and then it’s an afternoon in the paddling pool. For now though I have THE most perfect wedding for you. Katerina and Eric were married on 21st June in Davenport, California. They chose the Redwoods as it is such an idyllic location. Their outdoor ceremony was so beautiful followed by an outdoor reception, which was pure wedding perfection and really made the most of the amazing location . I do LOVE an outdoor wedding, especially when the whole thing is held outside. There is something about eating alfresco and dancing under the stars that is truly magical. Oh and Katerina’s flower crown really is a thing of beauty! Big thanks to Sebastien Bicard Photography for the gorgeous photos.

Sebastien the photographer tells us more

The incredible emotions Eric showed that day was overwhelming for everyone. The crying is one thing but the genuine feelings he dared to share with friends and family touched all the guests. From the first look where he could not believe seeing Kat walking to him (see the photo of their first look in the redwoods), the ceremony where he lost it when Kat walked down the aisle to the speeches where hugs and happy tears only scratched the relationships they build with the persons involved.

In addition to that, the venue was incredible as well. There are not a lot of weddings there (it seems to be hard to have a hold of the owner) but the location deserves 5 stars. Redwoods and cabin are setting the background of this wedding in a way that very few other venues can offer. It gives a sense of serenity, calm and almost a family gathering.

Name 3 things you like about her
1. She’s always quick with a witty remark or playful banter.
2. She’s always excited- looking forward to the next thing, be it a vacation, seasonal change, or just a fishing trip.
3. She’s smart, really smart. That challenges me and keeps me on my A game.

Name 3 things you like about your him
1. He genuinely cares about the people around him and wants to help everyone. He carried an old lady to her car the other day.
2. He doesn’t mind looking silly or being ridiculous
3. He thinks I’m actually funny
