This morning I have a really gorgeous styled shoot to share with you. It has been sent into me from Broadfield Court in Herefordshire, where the shoot took place. Broadfield Court is a new venue, so they wanted to create a shoot that would reflect who and what they are about. They wanted to create an edgy Boho vibe by using rich colours, feather, macrame and an abundance of beautiful floras. The whole shoot is super stylish and full of amazing decoration ideas. A hugely talented team worked super hard to pull it all together and the results are stunning.
We are a new venue, having spent 18 months renovating Broadfield to turn it into an exclusive use venue mixing the amazing historical features of a country house with stunning gardens and grounds, perfect for a relaxed, but very beautiful, wedding. We wanted to do a shoot to launch Broadfield that got across the stunning scenery and amazing backdrops that we can offer, and wanted something with a bit of a boho fashion edge. This shoot was the result!
The outdoors was our inspiration. We took inspiration from the scenery surrounding Broadfield, the wide horizons, the rustic barns, the magical woodlands. We wanted to create a look that was accessible but strong – the feather and flower crown has a warrior queen look, but is paired with layered tulle and lush sequins, making it perfect for a boho bride who wants a bit of edge. We also wanted to show a mix of beautiful photography and posed images with a freeness that is evident in the images where the couple are dancing, smiling, running, essentially enjoying themselves just like we would want any couple coming to Broadfield to do! And we also wanted to celebrate light, air and a sense of space – many of the photos use light to showcase an ethereal, whimsical feel, which was a key inspiration for the look and the locations.
