Provence inspired Elegant and Rustic Wedding Festival Inspiration

Today I have the most stunning styled shoot to share with you that has been sent into me by Elena Popa Photography and her incredibly talented team of amazing wedding suppliers. Together they have created a complete wedding, from the ceremony, right through to the food and drink, entertainment and fully decorated marquee. The results are this beautifully put together shoot, teaming rustic elegance with a touch of Provence to bring you a truly stunning Festival Wedding. I just love the way they have decorated the tables, as well as the hanging decoration in the marquee. As for those Alpacas? Surely every wedding needs an Alpaca?!?

Elena tells us more about the team and their inspiration for the shoot.

Tucked away deep in the Warwickshire countryside lies Oakham Cottage; a vast landscape of undisturbed greenery, fresh air and gentle rolling fields, making it the perfect location for our Provence inspired ‘Wedding Festival’.

The core motivation for the Festival came from a place in our hearts that deems the traditional, corporate and sterile environments of wedding fairs stagnant and outmoded. This, paired with pure admiration for the elegant and the rustic, allowed a handful of unique wedding suppliers to capture the essence of the picturesque French panorama and isolate it within the confinements of one of Boutique Marquees luxurious Sailcloth marquees.

We placed importance on suppliers having fun and immersing themselves in what they do best, building relationships with the clients by having genuine conversations and taking a genuine interest in their hearts desires. We wanted them to mingle with ‘guests’ and enjoy the ‘party’ as if at a real wedding reception. We invited the clients as you would a wedding guest and had the entire Sailcloth decorated in the elegant yet minimal Provence inspired décor.

The Lilac and Wild team breathed life into the Sailcloth with their stunning floral arrangements, utilising the staple forest greens, delicate lilacs, pure whites and fragrant lavender that conjure up images of the pretty, picturesque area that is Provence.

Nina from Beanies Bakery provided three cakes dressed for the occasion and played with texture as well as decoration. For the ‘guests’, she created mini, deconstructed samples of her best-selling flavours; chocolate, Victoria sponge and lemon drizzle, which went down an absolute treat!

Lou from Utterly Amore provided the seating plan, ‘The Order of the Day’ and names for the place settings on the tables. The matte-teal chalkboard, gold framed mirror and transparent paper name settings (keeping environmentally friendly) do well in complimenting the understated cool tone Provence colour palette.

Now for the most important element…the bride and groom! Our Bride, Francesca and her Fiancé could not have been more suited to this event. Due to the nature of what we were trying to achieve, it was of the utmost importance to all of us involved to have a real couple for the mock ceremony and for the photos of them together.

Francesca wore the Ashlyn dress provided by Kate Frances Bridal, an intricate masterpiece made up of delicate lace, pearls and embroidery with transparent straps and a short train. Sophie achieved a modest, low-key make-up look compiled of warm tones which offset the Provence palette perfectly. Sophie also gave Francesca a blush pink lip which is one of, if not the only, warm tone featured within the Provence theme.

Finally, the fantastic Martina at Wonderful Events. Martina worked wonders to pull everything together and make it all look beautiful, whilst also performing a live ceremony in front of our ‘guests’!
