Zala and Marco’s Festival Themed Free Spirited Wedding in Slovenia by Urška and Domen Photography

Happy Monday everyone, I hope you had a great weekend? Did you get some much-needed rain or did it stay dry where you are? My Mum has been up this weekend, we were meant to be going to Chatsworth in Derbyshire but the rain scuppered our plans. We still had a lovely time though. It’s another busy week on the blog, starting off with this amazing free-spirited festival themed wedding. Zala and Marco were married on 26th August 2017 at a beautiful farm in Seruga, Slovenia. They wanted their day to be chilled, relaxed and reflect their love of music and this it did. With a beautiful outdoor ceremony, followed by a full on party this wedding is just full of amazing vibes, smiles and so much love.

Zala and Marco met at a rock festival Rock Otočec where Marco was playing in a band and it was only right to get married as close to the location as possible so they chose Tourist farm Seruga for their wedding day. Since both are into rock music and love festivals (and met because of one) they decided to have a wedding festival themed wedding or in short a wedfest. The dress code was hippie/boho chic and it was so amazing to see when all of the guests dressed like that!

Zala didn’t want a classic white wedding dress and she wanted something that would fit the boho and chic vibe so she went to a department store where she found the dress for her – a beautiful blush colored maxi dress with a boho vibe from Marciano by Guess. The groom Marco also decided for a more relaxed and boho vibe and dressed in linen suit that fitted the theme perfectly!

Marco is from Italy and they now both live in Florence, Italy so the wedding was actually an international one with half of the guests coming from Florence so celebrate their wedding day! It was a fairly small wedding with 80 guests, half from Slovenia, half from Italy.
The wedding day was one of the most relaxed and spontaneous ones we’ve photographed. After the ceremony there was dinner in the tent and afterwards a wild party that lasted long into the night!
The whole day was perfectly planned by Želimo.si wedding planners and they also did all the pretty wild flower décor!
