Todays wedding is a real cracker, and has quite the story behind it! First of all the wedding looks amazing! Both Robyn and Andrew look gorgeous and are really rocking their own Boho chic style. Secondly the wedding was actually a total surprise to their guests, as they all were invited under the premise that it was the couples engagement party where they were going to divulge the date of their wedding. Little did their guests know that the party was the actual wedding, which just happened to be April Fool’s Day 2017. The wedding was held at Forty-Two Ten, in Florida, and is a wonderful mix of bohemian chic, mixed with modern retro styling. The macrame ceremony backdrop, which also doubled up as a photo booth backdrop is the centre piece of the day, with the gorgeous muted tones of the table linen and flowers really adding a contrasting element to the celebrations. A truly stunning day, captured perfectly by Migrant Collective Weddings.
Robyn and Andrew had been engaged for so long that their friends and family started asking them “so when are you guys getting married??” and after fielding the question long enough, they decided to throw an engagement party to announce their wedding date to their closest friends and family.
Little did their guests know that the engagement party, scheduled for April 1st (April Fool’s Day), would be revealed as their actual wedding day! The venue was decorated with Boho elements that reflected Robyn’s trademark personal style, and included a macrame arch ‘selfie booth’ backdrop that was later flipped to become the ceremony setting. As Robyn and Drew grabbed the mic to thank their friends for attending and to announce their upcoming wedding date, Drew revealed “we’ve chosen our wedding date… and it’s right now, TODAY!” Robyn quick-changed into a chic stylish dress, and their closest friends (who were asked to wear certain attire under the guise of coordinating for photos) were thrilled that they were actually about to stand up in their wedding as witnesses during the exchange of vows. Every interaction between the couple exuded love and elation (and FUN!), and they celebrated with their guests with signature drinks, dancing, and delicious food from a local food truck that featured a live chalk artist creating a one-of-a-kind masterpiece inspired by the bride and groom! The result was an incredible unique and stylish SURPRISE wedding that the couple pulled off without a hitch!
