Good morning and welcome to the weekend! We have a break from the normal Boho Pins post today as we have something that we wanted to share with you that is hot off the press. We are massive fans of Amanda Wakely here at Boho, we just love the sleek lines and beautiful embellishments that she uses that make her gowns so sophisticated, perfect for the Boho Luxe bride! So when the new 2017 Bridal Collection dropped in our inbox we knew that we had to share it with you straight away. I love that bridal designers are all getting on board with the separates trend now, they are much more versatile and the skirt/top could easily be re-worn as part of a different combination on honeymoon and for special occasions afterwards. I hope you enjoy these designs as much as we do!
Epitomising luxury, elegance and sophistication, Amanda Wakeley has released her new bridal collection harking back to the romance of the 1920s.
Deco inspired crystal beading adorns impeccably cut bias satin dresses or goddess-like silk tulle. Dramatic silk mikado styles are adorned with graphic lace panels or pearlised beading creating a grandeur that is befitting a cathedral wedding.
Texture is key to the new collection. Raw cut chiffon is layered into graphic panels against an abstract artwork of crystals and pearls. Woven fringed ribbon in textural volume is wrapped with silk ribbons to cinch the waist. Delicate bias satin ribbons are applied to tulle, together with narrow lines of beading to create a fluid sun-ray effect.
This season introduces the versatility of bridal separates. A statement embellished harness or embroidered top can be teamed with a paneled Mikado skirt for dramatic volume or circular cut chiffon skirt for soft fluidity.
