Bridal Style: Mother Of The Bride – Considerations For The Perfect Outfit
As a mother, seeing your daughter walk down the aisle on her wedding day is...
Today we are heading across to Germany for a dreamy woodland wedding, courtesy of Tony Romero Photography. It’s an intimate wedding of 36 set in the most beautiful venue. A hidden woodland with an open clearing for the ceremony, which makes it ideal for weddings big or small. With lots of rustic touches and homemade details Silvia and Christian, the bride and groom really went to town on creating a day that was personal and individual to them. A charming day, full of smiles, love and lots of fun.
Silvia and Christian were married on 10th July 2015. They had the Wedding Party in the ” it was a ceremony in the fort and the party was in the Restaurant “Gasthaus Reuthof”. ‘This place is very special for me husband Christian because he spent his childhood there, and our Love began here. We had a total of 36 guests, only the important people in our life. We had one year to plan the wedding, because a lot of it was homemade.’
How they met
At work, Christian was a Chef and I was a waitress.
The proposal was very Romantic on the beach in our holidays in Africa.
Where did you splurge and where did you save
I splurged on the dress, because I had two dresses because we married twice (Germany and Spain.) We saved money because we made everything our selves. Crafts (bottles on the trees) (wood from the invitation) and (decor for the altar)
How did you choose your photographer
Through the Internet, we searched a long time for a photographer For for the Spanish Wedding we already had him booked. Because we loved his pics and style we asked him if he would also photograph our German wedding and he’s said yes which made us very happy the pics are wonderful.
The dress is from a Wedding Store (Pia Charlotte) and my “shoes” were barefoot
The Suit and Bridesmaids
The Suit and Accessories is from Hugo Boss
Theme or Colour Scheme
Forest and meadow, Flower Power and a touch of vintage
Gerbera gypsophila and lavender
Christian carried a lot of wood for the altar we needed wooden discs. When had over 100 bottles and a lot of lace.
Canapes with Salmon and shrimps. A hog roast, erything was rustic and the dessert a candy bar and at midnight we had lots of plates with cheese and sausage.
The Wedding cake was strawberry, banana and Wildfruits and then cake pops and cup cakes for the candy bar, all made by my childhood girl friend Sonia, it was very tasty
We had a DJ with old school music.
Our invitation were wooden pieces which we made ourselves and we wrote every piece and gave it to everybody personality, it was decorated with lace and flowers
Personal or Handmade Touches
We made everything ourselves. On the day before our Wedding our family and friends helped us to finish everything. We served the meal by our selves, we had a very good service man but it was very intimate.
The walk trough the forest, our first look, the Wedding itself, the butterflies, our wonderful guests, the food, the bar, dancing, the firework on the night. The whole day was a highlight. The most amazing surprise of the day was when I received an unexpected visit from my uncle Adolfo and my cousin Susana from Spain, without any warning. They wanted to be with me that day sharing a very important moment for me. Many tears of joy to see them.
Advice to other couples
Invite Who you want. Enjoy every second of the day.
A very good Flamenco Dance and the fireworks. Everything unfolded like it was supposed to be. Unforgettable!
