Diary of a Boho Bride – Kerry and Doug, Entry 4: The Wedding Rings

Happy FriYAY! How are you all? Are you ready for the weekend? Today we are back with Kerry and Doug who are in the midst of their wedding planning. Last time on the blog they chatted to us all about Fitness and Exercise. Today they are back on the blog chatting about all things sparkly and jewellery based, as they talk through their ideas for their Wedding Rings.

I’ll pass you over to Kerry and Doug………

I hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year, we were very busy in the new house and it seemed to fly by! It has now dawned on us that we are getting married this year eeek, and there is so much still to do.

So our invites have now gone out so it’s really starting to get real and even Doug is realising the sheer amount of pressure we have put on ourselves with having the ultimate DIY venue!

I have put up a whiteboard in my office to start the longest to do list in the world and this is slowly becoming wedding planning central. I am a bit worried that we have no food organised, no tables or chairs, no silverware or glasses and I do not fit into my dress! As you can see we have sorted one of the most important parts of the day, Bubbly for the toasts. We were very lucky that the prosecco we wanted was a 3rd off over Christmas and an extra 15% if you bought 4 bottles which worked out to be a real bargain.

Diary of a Boho Bride - Kerry and Doug, Entry 4: The Wedding Rings The most exciting thing we have booked is a day’s ring making course with Selina Campbell Jewellery , and we cannot wait. It involves a day’s workshop where we will make each other rings, Doug is a bit worried that he won’t get his done in a day but we have been assured we can take them home that evening. It will make the ring warming part of our wedding ceremony even more special as our rings will have been crafted with love for each other.

I have a hair trial scheduled for the start of February and will be trying to get a makeup trial fitted in as well, I will be going home for 5 days so we need to get as much done as possible in that time. I really do not want to turn into a bridezilla nearer the time so am trying to get as much done as possible sooner rather than later!

I hope to have a much more comprehensive update for you next time we talk and it’s just 145 days to go.

Love

Kerry and Doug xx
