There is just that special something about the amazing gowns from BHLDN. Their collections are so unique and beautiful that every time they release a new collection I immediately want to get married over and over again. How on earth do you choose one of their dresses? I have no idea because I always love at least 5 in every collection! The Amber Light Collection is no different. It truly is beautiful, I know you are going to love it.
By Amber Light – an October daydream imbued with luxe, floral textures and encrusted beading that ushers in a new wave of refined, bohemian style. Shot amidst a meadow of dancing grass at a nature preserve in Pound Ridge, New York by noted photographer Boo George, the glass “chapel” was constructed from re-claimed windows and colored glass – the pièce de résistance in this surreal and dreamlike environment that captures the romantic feel of an intimate autumn wedding. The images celebrate the launch of eight new BHLDN looks that narrate the dreamy, golden environment and the spirit of wanderlust evoked by model Jenna Earle.
The fall II collection was inspired by three unique design concepts: “Victoria”, “New Folk City” and “Modern”.
“Victoria” is characterized by the bride who is as extravagant as she is accomplished. She is a genius at ensemble dressing and well-matched for the wittiest of companions. She is layered, both in personality and in dress, and is truly opulent with an appreciation for fine detail. Pieces influenced by this concept feature delicate adornments and details that are characteristic of the Victorian era. Fitted Sleeves, high necklines, creamy hues and lots of layering can be seen throughout.
The “New Folk City” bride is an architect of style. She is the truest of friends, a wanderer near and far. She is a risk taker who is passionate for love, her career and her surroundings. Her look is more “tailored bohemian” with modern and dressy pieces that are styled casually. Dresses influenced by her style feature graphic embellishments, exposed backs, metallics and varied lengths.
The “Modern” bride incorporates clean lines and fabrications for a feeling of relaxed glamour. She dares to be different, but also represents a nod to the mainstays of times past. She favors drama, be it in stunning backs, unexpected manipulations of fabric, column silhouettes or touches of silk and charmeuse.
Gowns included in the fall II collection range from $320US to $1,400US and may be purchased at www.bhldn.com
