Today I am taking you off to gorgeous Devon for this bright and beautiful garden...
Happy Thursday afternoon everyone, I do hope this lovely Thursday is treating you well? This afternoon I have some gorgeous wedding inspiration for you with this Boho inspired Tipi Wedding styled shoot. Tipi weddings are so popular these days I feature so many of them here on the blog, but getting the styling right for a tipi wedding can some times be tricky. Turning a totally blank canvas into a beautiful wedding can be daunting to anyone. Today we are here to help you with lots of decoration ideas and so many pretty details. The shoot took place in March at Brindle Lodge, Hoghton in Lancs and was organised by Teepee Tent Hire and Itsy Bitsy Vintage.
‘The aim was to showcase the creative and styling potential of a large tee pee and to show that vintage china and styling can be blended with Boho, Retro, Festival, DIY or a Country Rustic look to create something eclectic, colourful, fun and beautiful by working with some of the best wedding suppliers in North Lancashire. I also wanted to add lots of DIY touches and made lots of items for the shoot including paper pin wheels, map flowers, vintage fabric covered bottles, ribbon festooned lanterns, handmade signs, hand written blackboards and a hessian, ribbon and paper pinwheel table plan.’
‘I have experience of styling unusual spaces and heritage buildings including Art Deco hotels, follies, film set venues, 1950’s village halls, Lake District barns and local themed garden parties with vintage props and china. I follow wedding trends and the growth in new and unusual wedding venues with interest but never had experience of styling a tee pee before. This was a creative challenge and unique opportunity to showcase how a large blank but very unique space could be styled, and to get an idea of the practicalities of pulling together a look with over 12 suppliers and the costs involved to potential clients. Sometimes transforming a large blank canvas space can be a little daunting to people, however, through this process Teepee Tent hire and Itsy Bitsy Vintage can confidently combine services to offer bespoke wedding packages to couples, including recommendations to quality local suppliers, for those wanting to have a WOW factor on their wedding day. With such a large number of suppliers being involved in the shop and wanting to showcase all of them, we were aware that we would require two photographers on the day, so we used Johnny of Beanphoto, who then also brought in the wonderful Samantha of Samantha Broadley photography. This gave us the great opportunity to have two photographers perspectives and styles to capture all the wonders of the day. We also hope the images can inspire couples to achieve some of these looks themselves, and to have fun planning their own look in the process.’
