I am so happy that it is Saturday. It’s been a hectic week in our household this week and I am looking forward to relaxing at the weekend a little with Paul and little Fearne. Not sure what adventures we will get up to get as the weather forecast says snow in the next few days for Yorkshire! If so, it will be all about making snowmen, wearing wellies and warm gloves. I hope you have got some lovely plans for the weekend.
Today we have this gorgeous beach pre wedding shoot of Peter and Christina that took place in Scotland in July 2014 in South Queensferry. When I first saw these pictures especially the ones on the beach it could have easily been mistaken for a shoot that took place in France or Italy. The location is beautiful! These images were kindly sent to us by Chantal and Scott of Chantal Lachance-Gibson Photography
How they met
Pete and I met back in June 2012. We met by chance really, but found it very interesting that we already had several connections with people we both knew. Since then, we’ve been together about four and a half years.
The Proposal
Pete made the proposal incredibly special, down to all the loving details. He made me a meal one evening and told me we were going out for a drive together. In the car, he played some music and had made a play list of all the songs that meant something to us. We walked up Blackford Hill in Edinburgh, I remember it being a beautiful starry night. When we were up at the top of the hill, just the two of us, we enjoyed some hot chocolate and then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Pete still had another wee surprise up his sleeve. I had mentioned to him months ago, that I’d always wanted to set off a Chinese lantern. It was such a loving gesture and very sentimental, to see it fly up into the night.
The one thing you love about each other
When I was around seven years old, I remember my mum asking me “What would you look for in the man for you? Someone clever, handsome?” Without even really thinking about it I replied “Someone who makes me laugh.” I just love and adore the way Pete makes me laugh, the endless moments are so beautiful to share together.
Wedding Date
Saturday the 6th of June 2015
Theme or Colour Scheme you are working towards
We don’t have a theme as such, but we are going for a “shabby chic” feel with our decorations, with a lovely duck egg blue colour scheme. (We also have a couple of surprises in mind for our guests on the day!)
What part of the wedding are you looking forward to the most
To finally saying “I do!”
