Hello to you all and welcome to Saturday again. How are you all? I hope that this week has treated you well and you have lots of plans for the weekend. Today I am heading off into Leeds to shoot a wedding. I am really looking forward to it because it’s a really lovely couple and I get to work with some really awesome wedding industry suppliers. Tomorrow will be a lazy day spent with Paul and Fearne doing some family stuff. Looks like we will be having crafty day as we put our finishing touches to the Christmas cards we are making. I will probably be sharing some of my crafty work and you will be able to see it on my Instagram feed Kelly_PJPhoto.
On with today. I am happy to share these lovely engagement images from Nicola of Daffodil Waves. It’s a great shoot from October. I love autumn shoots, the colours are truly golden, crisp and beautiful. Big thank you to Nicola for sharing this engagement shoot in the woods.
How they met
And how long have you been together? We met over ten years ago playing mixed hockey, actually Jonathan (as a goal keeper) decided to wipe me out to stop me scoring and I gave him what for in the club house afterwards. It took him 4 years to ask me out after this, and we have been together for just over 6 years now
The Proposal
13th July 2013, we were doing jobs in and around the house all morning, having not long moved in and had time to spare and cleaning the kitchen cupboards out was the main task of the day. It got to about 3pm and we hadn’t stopped, or eaten, so we went to Barton Marina for some food and drinks. We got home about 9pm and it was still boiling hot, so we were sat outside having a glass of wine and playing songs through the Apple TV – Jonathan loves a gadget. We were just dancing around the garden and Jonathan went inside (I thought he had gone for a wee) but he came back with a ring ☺ I cried (a lot) and obviously said yes
wedding date

Mythe Barn, Sheepy Magna, Nr Atherstone
The Theme or Colour Scheme
Its very “shabby chic”. Blue is the main colour, but we are embracing the barn in Mythe Barn and theres a lot of bunting, kilner jars, wild flowers, a vintage ice cream cart and a lot of tweed!
What are you most looking forward to
Having all the people we love in one place, and the food! ☺
