We are Sonia and Simon, a husband and wife team, brought together through our love of photography. Our love for each other and passion for stunning imagery shines throughout our work. We capture precious moments in a fun and natural way, telling an intricate and beautiful story of your wedding. Being husband and wife, we could not be better suited as wedding photographers. We combine both fashion and photo-journalistic styles to ensure your story is told naturally, yet perfectly.
Sonia will make sure you are looking your best, whilst Simon is eyeing up the shot. Together we cover crucial moments from different viewpoints. Apart, we are able to reveal the important wedding morning story that each of you missed. Start to finish, we are always close by on one of the biggest days of your lives together, it’s a big deal for us too!
We always carry a fun yet subtle presence, aiming for you to feel at immediate ease with us from first contact. How long have you been taking photos for?
Sonia did work experience with a wedding photographer at the age of 16 and was hooked from then. Simon has been taking photos professionally since about 2008.

When did you start your photography business and what made you start?
We met through photography, got married in June 2011 and fell in love with weddings. We have been photographing them ever since!

Where are you based?
Warwickshire – so right in the middle of the U.K. Perfect for getting anywhere that a wedding is taking place!

How far will you travel for a wedding?
As far as a couple are willing to travel for their wedding. We have just had a query for Malaysia!

How would you describe your style?
Fun, natural and creative.

What is your favorite bit of technical kit?
Sonia – prime lenses. If I had to choose it would be the Canon 50mm 1.2 lens, it’s beautiful. Although the 70-200mm variable lens is perfect for unobtrusive shots.
Simon – off camera flash. A chance to get creative, especially during the couple shoot or even during the first dance to add some flare.

What makes you different to your competitors?
We are a husband and wife team, each with different styles, so together we form a unique package. Being from mixed backgrounds between us, we are often able to relate to all sorts of cultures. We especially love fusion weddings, as it is a reflection of us in a way. We also have a personal approach with our work. We are there as friends, as well as photographers. It’s an important time for a couple, and the photographer is the wedding vendor that spends the most time with them on their special day. So it’s a priority to form a good connection in order to get the most beautiful shots.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
Meeting awesome couples and sharing in one of the most memorable days of their lives. Especially being able to give images for them to reminisce over with loved ones, hopefully then passing those images on through the generations. It really is an honour to be able to part of their history.

What is your biggest achievement so far?
Being able to be alongside each other 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as husband and wife as well as colleagues – without getting too annoyed with each other.. We would say that’s a pretty big achievement!

What sort of couple do you think you attract?
People that feel that they can relate to us, we guess. Most of our couples enjoy our relaxed approach, as we pride ourselves in communication. Our couples are able to contact us and we get back to them promptly, putting their mind at ease about any worries they may have about their big day. We are quite personal, forming good relationships – more like friends than just photographers.

What would be your ideal wedding to work on?
Anything unique! We love it when couples bring their own personalities into the day. We especially get excited by mixed culture weddings, as we find couples begin to form their own traditions.

Which celeb would you like to photograph?
We aren’t really star struck people. Let’s put it in a cheesy way, every couple is a celebrity to us haha!

Who is your favorite photographer and why?
Simon learns most of his skills from Zak Arias. We also admire David West as a wedding photographer. His work is inspirational. We have many favourite photographers and you can never stop learning from others. We may not necessarily follow famous photographers but there is a large community of socially active wedding photographers who we communicate with. These professionals tend to be the most inspirational to us, as we are all trying to become successful together.

If you were to get married who would take your pictures / who did take the pictures at your wedding?
Sonia had just finished university when we got married so we could only afford to get friends in to photograph / film our wedding. If we had the funds and were getting married now, we’d book David West, a truly talented photographer!

What in your opinion makes the perfect photo?
Emotion and being in the moment. When a couple just enjoys their day, that makes the most perfect photographs!

What is your favorite photo that you have taken?
That is too difficult to answer. When we think we have our best, we end up taking another. You are only as good as your last job! Being in the business, you should always strive to better yourself and are constantly learning.

What advice would you give couples when choosing their wedding photographer?
Go with someone who’s work you love and who you really get on with. They will be the vendor that you spend the most time with!

Can you give me some information on your pricing structure?
Our packages start at £1250 for a USB package and £1650 for a starting album package. It varies depending on location, we also occasionally have discounts in quieter seasons.

What is your ideal way to spend a day off?
Travelling! Having your own business, you don’t really get a day off. Even when we are abroad we are in communication with clients and potential clients. But if we want a break, we really enjoy exploring the world!

What can you never leave the house without?
Mobile phone and definitely can’t leave without a car! We live in the countryside and live miles away from the nearest shop!

Who would be your 5 dream dinner guests dead or alive?
Simon would love to have dinner with his mum who sadly passed away. Sonia would love to have the chance to meet her and get to know her as well. We’d love to have dinner with all of our family, even alive that would be way more than 5. But I guess the family members who are no longer with us, so we can see them one last time.

What would you do if you won the lottery?
We don’t believe in gambling but let’s say if we came across a lot of money, a large chunk would go to charity and the rest we would travel the world with!

If you weren’t running your business, what would you be doing?
I guess we’d be unfortunately in a job which we hate, because running our own business is a dream come true for us. It’s hard work but we absolutely love it.
