Happy Friday everyone, and how are you all? Ready for the weekend? I certainly am! It’s been a really busy week here at Boho HQ and the next few weeks are looking to be even busier! So I am looking forward to a relatively quiet weekend before it all gets really hectic! On Sunday Dexter and I are off to Cannon Hall Farm to watch Aladdin, we are meeting up with some friends, so that will be good. What about you? Today I am finishing off the week with this gorgeous, greenery filled, rustic DIY wedding from Somerset. Filled with rustic goodness and a whole load of foliage, it’s a feast for the eyes. The decor in this wedding is quite beautiful, the classic white flowers mixed with the greenery is of course a timeless winner, but the venue for me is the true star. The white walls of the Silk Mill Studios are the perfect blank canvas for any DIY couple, and Victoria and James have really put their own stamp on the day. It has been captured perfectly by Chloe Mary Photography
Victoria and James were married on 15th June 2019, with the ceremony at St John’s Church, Frome in Somerset and the reception at Silk Mill Studios, Frome. ‘We viewed only two other venues until we found the Silk Mill studios in frome, it gives the freedom of making it completely personal- blank canvas and is extremely reasonable in cost for hire of four days and then to find the most beautiful church across the road we were sold! We had 93 guest in the day, 116 by the evening an it took 18 months to plan.’

This afternoon I would like to talk about Wedding Anniversaries. Once you are married, the wedding anniversary is a big time to celebrate. Whether it be your first year or 10 years into your marriage, remembering the date you and your loved one became an official couple is something that should be celebrated. With this celebration and fond reminiscence of your perfect day often comes an anniversary gift! But how do you keep track of what date signifies what? Well the lovely people at I Just Love it have been kind enough to put together a super helpful infographic, as well as putting together a comprehensive guide to anniversary gift ideas for each significant year you celebrate being married.
‘Be ahead of the game with this guide to anniversary gifts by year. Each year the gift changes with a completely different meaning, so it’s hard to keep up. In this anniversary gift guide, you’ll find an idea for each year up to the big 50, so you’ll never be stuck for a theme again. These gift ideas will suit every budget, big or small. If you’re still stuck for ideas, personalised wedding gifts are always a great option.’
For your first anniversary, you’ll want something to remember the occasion with. A traditional anniversary gift for cotton would be a blanket, but go one step further with personalised pillow cases. These can be personalised with your initials, a quote that you both love or simply ‘his’ and ‘hers’. Either way, you’ll look at these pillows with a smile as you remember the joy of that special day one year ago.
Paper seems a bit of an odd gift choice but it’s so varied that anyone could choose a great gift under this brief. A popular gift to give is a framed wedding photo from the big day, or a simple book. If you’re looking to go outside the box, get paper flowers that can be enjoyed for years to come – to really go with the theme, get yellow or gold flowers to signify your two years together.

Today I am taking you off to Phoenix, Arizona for the super stylish and modern winter wedding of Rosie and Nick. It may be January when they got married but they still had great weather. Nothing like a January wedding here in the UK! Lots of lovely golden sunshine and not a drop of rain or snow! They chose Events On Jackson as their wedding venue and with its exposed brick and modern architecture it gave the perfect backdrop to their edgy, stylish wedding. With jewel tones-a-plenty in the flowers, bridal party outfits, stationery and decor, this wedding is oozing personality and lots of on-trend geometric touches. Big thanks to Riane Roberts Photography for catching the day so perfectly.
Rosie and Nick were married on 19th January 2019 at Events on Jackson in Phoenix Arizona. ‘Nick and Rosie chose Events on Jackson because it complimented their eclectic, stylish, and edgy style. They had around 120 guests and it took a year to plan.’

Today’s styled shoot was submitted by Karen from Stand Out Ceremonies. Karen is a wedding celebrant based in central England, creating bespoke ceremonies for couples that want to break free from the restrictions and fixed format of a civil ceremony. Karen works with couples to write and deliver personalised ceremonies that are ‘completely them’ and become the memorable, fun, heart of the big day; rather than the part some couples (and guests!) might dread!
The shoot was organised for the launch of Karen’s new, unique concept in micro-weddings and elopements; the ‘Wed Wild’ package. The ultimate in breaking with convention this package gives adventurous couples a complete luxury micro-wedding package (including everything from transport to dining), set against the stunning backdrop of the Peak District National Park; completely at one with the elements, but without a formal venue.

Today I am taking you to Devon for the super cute wedding of Sophie and Dale. When your parents own a farmhouse with a massive garden it would be rude not to use it for a wedding, and that is just what Sophie and Dale did. In fact Sophie’s parents went about re landscaping their garden for the wedding and the results are amazing. Freshly planted flowers, a hand made arch and a home made bar! So many gorgeous rustic touches that really make this wedding stand out, it’s hard to say which is my favourite. Lee Maxwell was there to capture the day, and what a fantastic day it was, I just love how relaxed everyone is, the outdoor ceremony area and the marquee and hanging centrepiece look stunning.
Sophie and Dale were married on 15th June 2019 at Rosemont Farm, Devon. ‘After always talking about getting married in Europe (Austria, Switzerland) we decided to make it personal and asked Sophie’s parents if we could get married in the garden of their Devon farmhouse. We had 100 adults guests and 4 Children – no evening guests. It took one year to plan, we got married on the same weekend as we got engaged the year previous.’
