Happy Thursday everyone, the Christmas countdown is on in our house, what about you? With...
As we grab hold of the last few weeks of autumn before winter is well and truly upon us, I am delighted to share this beautiful autumnal styled shoot with you. The shoot took place on 16th September 2020 at Apton Hall in Rochford, Essex, and has been put together by stylist Hollie from Your Love Rocks and a great team of wedding suppliers. Hollie wanted to represent the transition from summer to autumn. The change in light, the rich colours, the tones and the textures, and be as sustainable as possible, using up-cycled props and seasonal flowers. The result is this GORGEOUS shoot, which is full to the brim with the most amazing decoration and ideas. If anyone was having second thoughts about an autumn wedding, then you need to see these stunning images. The whole shoot is so well put together and thought through, a real inspiration.
It’s been a while since I had a bridal designer here on the blog, so today I am delighted to introduce you to not one but two, Anissa and Naïma are sisters and together they created Lâme Cœur Paris. This bridal range is like no other, the duo have created a collection they have described as ‘Boho Fairy.’ ‘We’ve specialized in Alternative Wedding Dresses with a Boho Fairy twist. Our ‘Ever After’ Collection is aimed at Modern-day Heroines, a bit Dreamy and Poetic, who want a mythical dress to tell their own story.’ The whole collection is eclectic, with abstract designs, layers of tulle bodices of beads, all with an ethereal edge and a real fairy tale feel. These gowns are perfect for the bride who is looking for something different, a dress that lets her personality shine though. Not only is the collection unique in design, it is entirely handmade with sustainable materials and always respectful of the environment.
Well hello to Monday, I hope you are all doing well. How was your 2nd weekend in Lockdown? Mine was OK thanks, the weather here in Sheffield was pretty pants, which didn’t lend well to outdoor living, so it was a weekend of baking, eating, watching films, playing board games and general chilling out! Only two more weekends to go and hopefully we will be back out of lockdown and back to normality, whatever that is…..who knows!! I have the most amazing Australian wedding for you today, and the star of the show for me is the dress. Alyce chose the most dramatic and perfectly boho Rue De Seine blue and white gown. I loved this gown as soon as it launched from the Rue De Seine collection and I prayed that a bride would wear it in one of my weddings and here we are! It fits this wedding perfectly, the outdoor lakeside beach like location is super relaxed, the macramé backdrop, the boho chic decoration and of course the beautiful couple. What a fabulous way to start the week, lets make it a good one! Big thanks to Justine Missen Photography for the gorgeous photos.
Alyce and Kye were married on 21st March 2020 at Stawell Yacht Club, Lake Fyanns, with the reception at Grampians Pioneer Cottages. Both located in The Grampians, Halls Gap, Victoria, Australia. ‘I grew up in the area and we both have a love for outdoors, we thought about a beach setting, which was probably always my dream, but after having a look around the lakes and finding this perfect shore area around Lake Fyans I think we were sold, getting a “beach” type of deal, whilst getting to have the beautiful Australian bushland and mountains around us as well, it ended up being the best of everything we love about our beautiful country. We had around 90 people attended our wedding which we were grateful for, being right on the edge of uncertainty with Covid-19 upon us. We feel extremely fortunate to have gotten our day in. It took just over a year, just enough time haha.’

Happy Friday everyone, I hope you have had a good week? How has Lockdown been for you so far and what are you plans for the weekend? It looks like rain here in Sheffield, so I plan to turn our front room into a cinema and camp out on the sofa with lots of popcorn and watch a few Christmas films with Dexter. I am also going to do some baking, well it is lockdown after all! Dexter is going to his Nanas on Saturday, (she’s in our bubble so it’s allowed) so Nik and I are going to order in some delicious food and make the most of a lay in on Sunday morning! Roll on the December when we can go out again! On with today’s wedding and we are heading to Stone Barn in the Cotswolds for the glorious wedding of Gemma and Cameron. They went for a Botanical theme and added in lots of greenery, plants, and accents of gold, mixing this with candles, lanterns and fairy lights. The whole day looks wonderful and has been captured perfectly by Cotswolds Wedding Photographer – Dan Morris .
Gemma and Cameron were married on 11th May 2019 at Stone Barn in the Cotswolds. ‘We’ve always loved the stunning beauty and charm of the Cotswolds – so to marry its rural landscape with one of its traditional stone venues was the perfect choice. We had 120 guests and it took 18 months to plan’.
