Entry 21 of my photography Diary and here I am delighted to be able to share some photos I took of Evie, our friends Matt and Alison’s daughter at her Christening. After our meet up in the park a couple of weeks ago when I took some photos of our friends and their children, I offered to take some photos of Evie for Matt and Alison at her Christening. So off I went on a very rainy Sunday to capture the day. Like a lot of Churches I wasn’t able to take any shots during the actual christening but I manged to get some before and after and also lots at the party afterwards. Our friends Karl and Linda were also there so I was able to take even more of their gorgeous baby girl Scarlet! I have to say I really enjoyed the role of official photographer and loved taking photos of such a gorgeous subject matter!
Here I mainly used my 50mm, the church luckily wasn’t to dark, so I didn’t need any extra flash and the party was in a really light airy room, so lots of natural light. I edited them in Ligthroom and had a play around with the VSCO preset Fugi Superia 100- while adding a few of my own touches to it to make it more do my own.
Awwww these are fab! I love that top photo with her worried little expression! Really great work!
These are great, Kelly. You can really see your progression as a photographer. Keep it up!
