Hello you lovely lot and how are you today? I hope you haven’t got a state of the Monday Morning blues as I have a feeling this week is going to be a GOOD week! I have a Gorgeous Vintage Inspired Wedding for you today all the way from Mississippi. Katie and Simon were married on 19th May at Katie’s brothers home in Mississippi, they had lots of vintage influences and a whole bunch of DIY elements. Thanks to Christian Burge for the photos.
Very DIY…. This bride had her wedding at her brothers home in an intimate setting. Her mother had passed away and in her deep desire to have her mother present (who loved birds) she had many details that represented her mother such as handmade hair pieces with bird feathers and the bridesmaids had hand made bird necklaces made by a local artisan and many other tributes. Katie was very upset while getting dressed that her mothers necklace had been forgotten in the vault at the closed bank but someone was able to get them to open the bank as a surprise to Katie to get her mothers cross necklace, there are photos of her sisters putting this necklace on her. They had a beautiful dance floor with twinkling lights and floating balls overhead. Katie brought in old furniture to sit around the reception area. Every table had some sort of vintage placement in the center with fresh flowers. Her bridesmaids carried baby’s breath. Katie changed into a soft pink vintage dress for her reception. There was a terrible head on collision right after the ceremony right in front of everyone but thankfully no one was seriously injured and the reception went on as planned.!! It was a beautiful evening for this beautiful bride!

Katie’s wedding dress is just stunning. The way it hugs her back and drapes down the stairs is beautiful. Lovely photos
A mixture of cool rustic natural details and relaxed fun candid moments…it’s how weddings should be captured :-)
