Saturday Cinema: Lottie and Alan’s Elegant Marquee Wedding by Clark and Palmer

Happy Saturday everyone, I hope you are having  a good weekend so far? It’s all about work for me, as I am away for a few days next week so I need to get all my blog posts written and wedding planning work done before I go! What about you?

Today’s featured presentation is brought to you by Tom and Rob of Clark and Palmer. It’s the wedding of Lottie and Alan who were married on 21st July 2012. The Ceremony was in Ratcliffe on the Wreake in Leicestershire, followed by a marquee reception. Tom and Rob have once again produced a 1st class wedding video, which has been beautifully put together. The mixture of music, editing, slow motion and audio all go together in creating a beautiful film. I am loving Lottie’s lace dress and her hair is just gorgeous ( I do love a good curl!) The marquee has been dresses beautifully and everyone looks lie they are having a fabulous time.

Our favourite part of the wedding was simply the emotions throughout the day, both bride and groom had tears in their eyes for its entirety, and with both sides of the family being heavily represented, and with the reception being in the ground of Lottie’s family home, it was a very personal day from beginning to end, which really gave it a unique and special vibe to it, not to mention the sun which finally decided to show itself in what had been a terrible summer up until then!  This was such an emotive and personal wedding which was helped by the fact that the wedding dress was designed and made by the bride herself, and we were honoured that we were asked to be part of it.

We feel couples should always have a film done as it captures things that are so easily forgotten once the day is over, the emotions, the atmospheres and the sounds of the day that made it so special.  So much happens in the 12 hour day and it just flies by, sometimes without the bride or groom even taking a breath.  It is nice for a couple once the honeymoon is over and everything has settled, to sit down with a glass of champagne and relive the magic of that day.  We speak to so many couples who hadn’t really thought about getting one done, however after the first viewing of their own they tell us it is on top of their list of things to do for your wedding, which is the highest compliment we can receive.

To make a good wedding film you need to capture all the little moments, the parts of the day the couple will forget, or the bits they didn’t see.  Our favourite parts are the bits that can only be captured on film, like the bridal preparations in the morning, or the emotions going through the couple before the bride enters the church, those are pivotal moments of the day, yet they are moments that are not shared.  It’s lovely for them to see what emotions they were each going through before that walk down the aisle.  It is also essential to get a feel of and recreate the atmosphere of the day whilst catering the film to each couple and how the day panned out, as every wedding is different we feel very strongly that every wedding film should be different.
