Saturday Cinema: Zara & Matt’s Backyard Hampshire Wedding by Courting Whale Productions

Happy Saturday everyone and welcome along to another Saturday Cinema! As you read this I along with thousands of other lucky people are at the Olympics watching the athletics. I have been over excited all week about our trip to London and I’m sure the day will be everything we wanted it to be. We were extremely lucky to get 6 tickets to the athletics, including getting to see Sheffield girl Jessica Ennis, so we have been really excited about cheering her on! I’m sure I will tell you all about it later on next week.

Onto todays  featured presentation wich has been brought to you by Courting Whale Pictures. It’s the wedding of Zara & Matt who were married on 16th June 2012 (my wedding anniversary!) the ceremony was at St Leonards Church with the reception back at their home in Hook, Hampshire. The thing that makes this wedding so special is that the couple got married in their back garden, having spent 5 years renovating their house, it was ready for them to get married. What a lovely day and so personal to them!

I asked Warren what his Favourite Part of the wedding was ‘The story of the wedding made it for us. Zara & Matt took on an enormous renovation project 5 years ago always with the intention of getting married there when they were finished. It’s now an absolutely stunning country home and the wedding was a celebration of this enormous accomplishment and the completion of the project. With half of Zara’s family being Danish, there were lots of fun danish influences, a lot of singing and dancing and amusing impromptu speeches.’

Why do you think couples should hire a wedding film maker? ‘Times have changed. The industry has upped it’s game and if you’re even half thinking of having a wedding video, have a good look at what’s being produced right now. If you choose the right film maker for you, you’ll most likely come out the other side thinking it’s the best money you spent on the wedding. A cinematic wedding film can provoke emotions that no other medium can.’

What do you think makes a good wedding video? ‘Good story telling and capturing authentic moments in time during one of life’s greatest celebrations.’
