Saturday Cinema: Emily and Mike’s Ferret Racing, Fun Filled, AWESOME wedding by Courting Whale Pictures

Welcome along to another weekend! and another Saturday Cinema! I hope what ever you are doing you are having  a fun filled saturday? I am off to Tramlines today which is Sheffield’s own festival. If you’re in or around the Sheffield area pop by it’s going to be BIG!

So onto todays wedding, and I have an AWESOME wedding for you today! one fo my favorites for a long time. It’s the wedding of Emily & Mike who were married on 23rd June 2012 at Dunction Mill Trout Fishery, West Sussex and it was sent into me by Warren and Simon from Courting Whale Pictures.

This wedding is everything that a good wedding should be in my books. Most of all you can tell that the couple are mad about each other, with the touching speeches and personal vows, secondly everyone is having so much fun, from the ferret racing to the dancing, and to top it all off the venue is beautiful, as are all the decorations and details, the flowers, the table numbers, the mens suits the wedding dress…………….and some really tender moments that made me cry! A wedding Video well worth 4 minutes of your day!

Warren and Simon told me a bit more about the wedding ‘This is the very very cool wedding of the very very cool cats that are emily and mike. When we first met them a few months ago, we were extremely excited to hear that there would be ferret racing, an outdoor ceremony and custom vows! Duncton Mill Fishery is beautiful place for a summer wedding and every detail in the marquee was planned by mike and emily. I always think you get out of a wedding what you put into it and it was clear from all of the little touches how much mike and emily cared about each other, their wedding and their guests. The soundtrack for this couple was always going so be more pop than love song but I wasn’t expecting to venture quite so far into the indie rock spectrum… until I saw these guys party! It was impossible to cram in all of the awesome things from the wedding day into four minutes, so this isn’t so much of a highlights film, more of a bite size teaser of a very special wedding.’

I asked Warren and Simon what their Favourite Part of the wedding was ‘This was such a fun wedding full of quirky and unique touches. We love hearing custom vows but our absolute favourite part was probably the ferret racing because we’d never seen it at a wedding before and the guests (who were placing bets on their favourite ferret!) were really getting into the spirit of it.

What do you think makes a good wedding video ‘Good story telling and capturing authentic moments in time during one of life’s greatest celebrations’

Why do you think couples should hire a wedding film maker ‘Times have changed. The industry has upped it’s game and if you’re even half thinking of having a wedding video, have a good look at what’s being produced right now. If you choose the right film maker for you, you’ll most likely come out the other side thinking it’s the best money you spent on the wedding. A cinematic wedding film can provoke emotions in a way that no other medium can.’
