Happy Friday everyone! I hope you are all well and happy and looking forward to the weekend ahead of us. I have a pretty chilled one planned, we are going over to a friends house on Saturday night for a takeaway and a few games, Sunday we are hopefully going to be booking our next holiday. Lots of flights and hotels to research! What about you? Today though I have some beautiful wedding inspiration for you. If you are panning a blue and white wedding or looking for some colour inspiration then this shoot is for you. Taking inspiration from the Tang Dynasty in China, this shoot is filled with the most intricate vases, flowers and decoration, mixed with a touch of rustic chic. The shoot is classic, timeless and perfect for the boho couple looking for a more elegant look. The shoot took place on 4th June 2025 at China Grove, North Carolina and was submitted by Events By Victoria and photographed by Baylee Marie Photography.
The 2025 wedding color palette trend prominently featured blue and white. Although white and gold weddings remain popular, the enduring appeal of blue and white combinations can be traced back centuries — notably to blue-and-white porcelain ginger jars originating in China during the Tang Dynasty. These distinctive jars have since been reproduced in the chinoiserie style, which has gained significant traction in interior design, home décor, and contemporary weddings. The elegant patterns and iconic indigo and vanilla tones are increasingly chosen for wedding décor.
Today’s ginger jars and blue-and-white ceramics often showcase traditional Chinese-inspired patterns, including floral motifs and geometric designs, offering a variety of options to complement different wedding aesthetics. Couples may opt for a cohesive blue-and-white color scheme or incorporate select elements into their tablescape to achieve a refined effect.
Ceramic tiles hand-painted with festive blue-and-white designs can function as escort cards, while blue-and-white floral embroidery inspired by pottery may embellish robes or dressing gowns for pre-wedding preparations. High-contrast colors are suitable for charger plates or fine china, and floral arrangements may be displayed in either antique or contemporary ginger jars at ceremonies or receptions, enhancing the overall sophistication of the celebration.
