Here in the UK the weather is officially drab! The snow has gone and we are left with grey sky’s and wet weather! So to bring you a bit of destination brightness I am taking you off to Costa Rica for this super glam wedding. Rebecca and Mason were married on 6th December 2024 at Hotel Villa Caletas and they had the most stunning day. Most weddings I feature from Costa Rica are very much filled with natural, earthy colours but what I like about this one is the crisp modern colour scheme of white, green, gold and black. The whole decor is super glam and super striking with the black table clothes, white linens and flowers and gold accents on the chargers and cutlery. The green chairs work so well with huge amount of greenery, all working in harmony to create this modern chic wedding day. Rebecca and Mason’s wedding at the iconic Villa Caletas in Costa Rica was the definition of modern romance. Overlooking the Pacific coast from the Mirador terrace, they said “I do” surrounded by misty ocean air, lush tropical greenery, and a warm group of loved ones who traveled for their destination wedding in Jaco. From the very beginning, the day felt elevated yet intimate.

Before the ceremony, Rebecca slipped into a chic pair of white heels topped with rhinestone bows and classic gold and blue jewelry. Her thick brunette hair was styled in soft, romantic curls that paired beautifully with her timeless white gown. The bridesmaids wore floor-length blue dresses with varied necklines, adding a custom feel to the wedding party while keeping the palette cohesive.

Before the ceremony, Rebecca and Mason chose to share a quiet moment alone with a first look tucked in the sunny covered terrace of Villa Caletas. Surrounded by lush tropical greenery and soft natural light, it was the perfect setting for such an emotional and personal exchange. As Rebecca approached, Mason turned to see his bride for the first time. His reaction was filled with awe, laughter, and the kind of genuine emotion that set the tone for the rest of the day.

The ceremony setup at the Mirador was a floral dream. A flower petal lined aisle led to an altar framed by two tall white pedestals with lush white arrangements spilling over the tops. Matching floral footed pots and vases created layers of texture at the end of the aisle, adding depth without distraction from the lush green backdrop. Guests were seated in natural wood X-back chairs, a warm contrast to the all-white floral palette. A champagne wall welcomed them with flutes tucked between bud vases for a thoughtful and stylish touch.

In a private garden setting, they exchanged handwritten vows — just the two of them, away from the crowd. This moment, intimate and heartfelt, allowed them to slow down and take it all in after their ceremony. It was a reminder that while the design and setting were beautiful, the heart of the day was their connection. The garden was quiet except for the sounds of nature, creating an almost sacred space for their words and promises. These moments captured in the Villa Caletas gardens became some of their most treasured memories from the day. Surrounded by Costa Rica’s natural beauty, it was a peaceful and grounding pause before the celebration began.

As the sun began to set, guests gathered under a lush greenery canopy dripping in candlelight. The reception space featured one long head table draped in black velvet. Modern green velvet chairs, asymmetric white floral arrangements, and tall gold candleholders created an atmosphere that was refined yet warm. We suspended glass candle holders and greenery overhead, filling the space with a soft, golden glow.

The place settings were striking: black and gold chargers, crisp white napkins, and gold flatware complemented by delicate name cards centered on each setting. The couple opted for a naked cake displayed on a wood stand, tying in the natural elements of the venue with their minimalist palette.

Later in the evening, Rebecca changed into a second gown—an exquisite beaded piece that shimmered under the lights as the couple took to the dance floor. Every detail of their elegant micro wedding in Costa Rica was intentional, heartfelt, and timeless.
