Hello you lovely people, I hope you are well and happy. I have a gorgeous wedding to share with you, all the way from Colorado. Lanna and Max were married on 6th July 2024 in Gunnison, Colorado. Colorado weddings are becoming more and more popular on the blog. I seem to be featuring so many weddings from this stunning area, and why not! Who wouldn’t want those stunning mountain ranges as a backdrop to their wedding!? Lanna and Max incorporated a gorgeous outdoor ceremony with a supper pretty marquee reception, both of which were adored with the most beautiful yellow, white and green flower arrangements. The tables were positively bursting with beautiful blooms, creating a soft, romantic and quite stunning wedding look. Third Eye Photography was there to capture this gorgeous sunny day for us.
Max and I met in high school. Both of us played competitive water polo and although we went to different high schools, we were on the same club water polo team. Going into senior year of high school, I was committed to play in college at Indiana University, and Max was committed to play at The Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Because we were both playing at a high level in high school, the head of the club asked me to begin practicing with the boys. And of course, I was told to guard Max. He is much bigger and stronger than me, so he kicked my butt every day. Not too long after we met at water polo practice, our friend groups merged, and we began to hang out on the weekends. Then we attended prom together! Max and I knew we liked each other, but college was approaching, and we decided to go our separate ways.
Soon after beginning college, COVID-19 hit the states. Although COVID was a stressful and scary time for the world, leaving college to spend the summer at home was a blessing in disguise for Max and me. Typically, Air Force cadets only receive three weeks off in the summer, but due to COVID, Max was home the entire summer. Soon, we reconnected and spent nearly every day together. The rest is history! Four years after beginning to date officially, Max proposed! The proposal was amazing and is now the same spot where we will said, “I do!”
Now, we live together near Dayton, Ohio. Max is a 2nd Lieutenant in the Air Force pursuing a graduate degree in Data analytics at Write Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton Ohio. I am beginning my second year of graduate school for speech-language pathology. We were so excited and feel very blessed to get married in Gunnison, Colorado. My parents, grandparents, and even great-grandparents grew up camping in Gunnison National Forest.
