Starting a new life together as a married couple, a bowl holds great symbolism as well as they hold things! Our hand made bowls come in all different shapes, sizes and depths and the ones shown here can be used as Object d’art; sit on a sideboard to look pretty, AND they can be functional too; to throw everyday objects in or perhaps some potpourri. Forged metal bowls are not in the least bit boring either since they often ‘sing’ when struck on the rim by an object, they are so heavy, which adds a kind of earthly reassurance with the element of iron. A bowl like this becomes part of the family and we can personalise them so they are always reminded of their special day, the start of their married lives together.
