'Bright Bohemian' Macrame Filled Micro Wedding Inspiration

Well hello you beautiful people and how are you all? It’s Friday so I am feeling good, it’s also the beginning of half term here in Sheffield which means a fun filled week ahead with my gorgeous boy. This afternoon I have a jam packed edition of our directory roundup, it’s a photography special with lots of fab photographers who have joined the directory this week. Before that though I have this delightful styled shoot, The shoot took place on 2nd September 2020 in Erwin, Tennessee and it really is a thing of beauty. Katy the photographer and her team of amazing suppliers wanted to show that smaller intimate weddings and micro weddings can be as stunning and detail filled as larger weddings, and by filling this shoot with the most gorgeous flowers and dreamy decor, that any couple can pull off a fabulous wedding, whether is be large or small.

As a photographer, I’ve recently seen so many new, dreamy, bohemian-style wedding dresses that have really inspired me! I really wanted to bring together some of the best local vendors in my area to create a stunning, bohemian themed styled shoot so that we could create and have fun.
I had recently found a local Air Bnb, called The Pond House, that was nestled in the mountains of Tennessee and offered such a peaceful and scenic location. It’s a small cabin that overlooks a quaint pond and has the perfect little patio for an intimate wedding!

We went with a rust, navy, and blush color theme to go with the Lillian West boho dress and macrame backdrop. I thought the pops of color would bring variety and brightness to our shoot. I asked our florist to use these colors but run with her creativity– she ultimately brought the vision to life! The alter is all-natural and handcrafted from three trees that our rentals vendor happened to have stored in their barn. The Pond House also has a vintage Airstream and hammock area that made for the cutest boho bridals!

With Covid sticking around and micro/intimate weddings, I truly believe that Air Bnb weddings will be on the rise! I hope to inspire future brides with these gorgeous boho trends and show them that their micro weddings can be just as beautifully detailed as a large wedding that they may have been hoping for but had to reimagine due to Covid.
