There is one word that describes today’s styled shoot and that is WOW!! When these images landed in my in box I was super excited to share them with you, as they are just so full of colour and imagination. The shoot took place on 4th May 2022 at Howsham Hall and it has been an absolute joy to put together. Taking on a modern day Alice in wonderland theme for the shoot, the team of exceptional suppliers have created a selection of giant installations, full of colour, texture and patterns and I am here for it in a BIG way! I just love the use of balloons and flowers together, the make believe world that has been created is pure wonder! Big thanks to Rebecca from Howsham Hall for the amazing submission.
Howsham Hall is a stunning venue, we really wanted to create a shoot that showed off the venue’s features.
Our inspiration was creativity at the heart of what we do at Dine. As the styling and look of the venue itself is unique, I got the inspiration from the Alice touches already at the venue, giant chairs, lamps and hidden gems for example the Eat Me hands which are dotted around the venue for guests to help themselves to sweet treats. These elements really added to the theme and teaming up with the magicians that are Red Floral, the shoot was born. A celebration of summer added to the colour palette, as well as the modern day Alice look with the bespoke dress, hidden colour pop, oversized bow and back combed hair worked really well. The installations where set to give a feel of been transported down the rabbit hole. For the staircase, we took inspiration from Alice falling into wonderland. With the cascade of balloons replicating the magical and not quite reality. Red floral added in elements such as the floating monkey’s and flowers to give a different dimension, teamed up with the bright colours of the rainbow for a summer pop! The second installation was based around the giant chair. This took inspiration from the Mad Hatter’s tea party. Alice has found herself in the middle of the madness, waiting for the un – wedding tea party! Every day can be a wedding day! The wedding cake was the perfect addition and adding a tea cup and saucer to the mix, was a little touch for time for tea! Moving outside, Howsham Hall is like no other venue on the outside, with the balloon garland, made for a perfect end to Alice’s journey.
The shoot was to celebrate the quirks of Howsham Hall and we certainly felt with achieved this. It was also to explore the connection of Alice and wonderland to Howsham Hall, again the shoot achieved this.
