Lydia and Orestis ‘Secret Garden of Bohemian Soul’ Wedding in Greece

Happy Monday everyone and how was your weekend? I hope you managed to do something fun and relaxing. We managed to find ourselves child free for most of Saturday, so we went bathroom shopping and then car shopping! We are having an extension built in a few months, so it’s time to start looking at designs and getting to grips with getting stuff ordered, it’s going to be a busy few months ahead! Sunday we went for a lovely walk and then had a film afternoon, so nice and chilled. What about you? I am starting the week with this stunning wedding from Greece, it really is beautiful! The whole look is based around a Bohemian secret garden. It’s filled with macrame hangings, succulents, beautifully decorated tables, stunning blooms and the most amazing location. Lydia and Orestis met at high school, which is such a sweet story and make a totally charming couple. Big thanks to Wed Pashalis for the beautiful photos and to Aliki Noula for Apples and Mints  for the wonderful planning.

‘Secret Garden of Bohemian Soul’ – It was our hard-earned redemption

Lydia and Orestis were maried on 5th September 2019 at Dikaioulias Estate in Koropi (suburb of Athens), Attica, Greece. ‘The location was not the most cost-effective, it wasn’t the most practical in terms of its layout, it wasn’t even as well-organized as the others we were considering. But. It simply was the most beautiful. We fell in love with it. We had 150 guests and it took just 5 months to plan.’

How they met
We met in High-School. We have been best friends for 15 years. And from now on we are life partners.

The proposal
Disneyland Paris, under the evening Illuminations. Fireworks and rain.

Special moments
Our first dance to Elton John’s “Your Song” by Gaga. The disco party that followed. Plus, a million small things and little mishaps and hilarious moments that make up everyone’s wedding day.

Advice for other couples
Just try to have fun. It’s your day. When the day comes, forget about everything and just have fun. You earned it.

Biggest surprise
We also had a ghost guest that nobody seems to know. Nobody remembers him from either side of the family. Only the camera that captured him. We hope he had fun whoever he was.
