Happy Friday everyone and YAY for the weekend! I don’t know about you but it’s been one hell of a week, I am ready for a wine or two this evening! What about you? We have two days of festive outings planned this weekend, so I’m just hoping that the rain stays away long enough for us to get some Christmas cheer and enjoy some time together as a family. Nik and I have ordered a cook at home option from one of our favourite restaurants, so I’m looking forward to some tasty food tomorrow. What about you, what are your weekend plans? On with the last wedding of the week and we are finishing the week with this gorgeous wedding from Nottinghamshire. Jennifer and Tom were married on 24th July 2019 at Hazel Gap Barn in Nottinghamshire, they had a delightful day with a Disney theme, some gorgeous rustic touches and a fun filled game of Mrs and Mrs. the whole day was chilled, romantic and full of charm. Big thanks to Martin Cheung for the lovely photos.
Tom and Jenny chose the spectacular Hazel Gap Barn as their wedding venue. Jenny is a HUGE Disney fan so it was only natural that they chose Disney as the theme for their wedding. With table names being named after couples from Disney movies.
The bridesmaid dresses were Fuchsia pink and Jenny’s dress was a beautiful lace dress from Pronovias. Instead of the traditional heels, Jenny opted for a pair of personalised Vans with Mrs Gee printed on the back.
The bouquet was an beautiful mix of purple & white Dahlia mixed with foxtail, pink & white peonies and roses.
The bride got ready at the nearby Lion Hotel and arrived at Hazel Gap Barn in a VW camper van that had been lovingly restored as a project by Jenny’s stepdad.
As Jenny came down the aisle, Tom’s emotions got the better of him and he couldn’t help but shed a few tears! It was really touching.
During the wedding speeches, the groom had a surprise for Jenny. Since she was now a member of the Gee family. She was presented with her very own Leicester City football jersey since the Tom’s whole family are avid Leicester fans! A moment which made Jen bury her head into the table!
When it came time for the best man’s speech, one of his friends had hidden his speech. So his face was absolutely priceless as he reached into his jacket pocket, only to find there was nothing there! They did eventually stop laughing and give him his speech back so he could deliver it.
Jason from Dream Wedding Entertainment got the evening party started with a Mr & Mrs game. Jenny won that!
I know it always sounds cliched but what stood out was that it was a genuinely chilled out day. I would literally love to photograph couples like Tom & Jenny every week.
