Jessica and Grant’s Blush filled Greenhouse Wedding in Nashville by John Myers Photography

Hello everyone and how is your Tuesday going so far? I hope it is a good one for you and the weather is being kind to you? Today I have another sunshine filled wedding for you. This time I am taking you to sunny Nashville. Jessica and Grant chose this greenhouse venue for their wedding as they fell in love with it the first time they went to visit. They filled their day with lots of lovely white flowers and lots of greenery. They used rustic decoration, along with candles, tree stumps and accents of blush. Jessica and Grant look stunning, I especially love Grants groomsmen’s outfits and Jessica’s gorgeous bouquet. Thanks to John Myers Photography for the lovely images.

The best day ever and a dream

Jessica and Grant were married on 8th July at Long Hollow Gardens And Nursery in Nashville. ‘We fell in Love as soon as we puled up. The gardens and Green house were exactly what we were envisioning for our wedding and everyone was so kind and welcoming. We had 220 guests and it too one year and 3 months to plan.’

How they met
We met through mutual friends at a halloween party. We were together for a year and 4 months before we got engaged.

The proposal
Grant rented out one of our favorite dive bars and I thought I was going out with my sister that night. When I walked in, he had decked it out with rose petals and candles everywhere. My sister shut the door on us and it was just him and I. I was completely surprised and then after I said yes, all of our friends and family started coming through the back door. He even managed to have my best friend fly in town for less the 48 hours and called me out of work the next day. He  thought of everything! It was the 2nd best day of my life.

How did you allocate your budget?
We focused on making sure our guests had a blast first and then focused on what we wanted

Where did you splurge and where did you save?
We splurged on the band and we saved on our decorations and food.

How did you choose your photographer?
We absolutely fell in love with Johns work and when we met him he made us feel so comfortable. We knew it would be a good fit.

The dress
Martina Liana was my dress, my earrings were my great grandmothers that she made, and my shoes were Aldo.

The suit and bridesmaids
Suit was alton lane and bridesmaid dresses Nouvelle Amsale and Jenny Yoo

Theme or colour scheme
Different shades of blush and lots of greenery. Definitely a boho feel.

Flowers
Eucalyptus, olive branches, hydrangea, snap dragon, baby breath

Decoration
Rustic with lots of greenery and candles. we used branded wood stumps for our candles

Food and cake
We had Pizza. Then we had all homemade desserts and our own little publix wedding cake just for us.

Personal touches
We did all of our own decorations and I went to the flower store to show my friend how I wanted my bridesmaids and my flowers done and she was awesome enough to do them for me that day.

Special moments
The ceremony was magical. it was absolutely perfect. we ended up renting out a whole in the wall bar for the after party and that turned out amazing and we actually got to talk more to people

Advice for other couples
Something is bound to go wrong. it just is. but making sure not letting anything stress you out or take away from your amazing day. its not worth it and at the end of the day all you wanted was to marry the man/woman of your dreams and that little stuff doesn’t even matter plus no one ever notices.

Biggest surprise
Grant surprised me with a videoographer which wasn’t in our budget and our officiants surprised us with a unity coors light at the alter. we had said we didn’t want to do a unity symbol but that was perfect for us.
