Lindsay and Andy’s Colourful ‘Rustic Luxury’ Jewish Wedding in Texas by Cory Ryan Photography

Happy Monday everyone and how are you all? Did you have a good weekend? Whatever you go up to I hope you had lots of fun and feel refreshed and ready for the week ahead of us? Mine was lovely. Saturday was what I call a life admin day, so I now feel a bit more organised and caught up on everything. Sunday I took Dexter to Cannon Hall Farm with a friend to watch their Pantomime of Aladdin, such a lovely day with my boy! So on with the week and starting off with this glorious bright and colourful wedding. Lindsay and Andy were married on 18th May 2019 at Addison Grove in Dripping Springs, Texas. They held their gorgeous outdoor Jewish ceremony under the trees, followed by a wonderful celebration bursting with colour inside the barn. The whole reception area is a joy to behold, so many bright colours and gorgeous decoration. I see a lot of white weddings filled with foliage and greenery, which I adore, but it does make a pleasant change to see so much colour in one wedding. Cory Ryan Photography was there to capture the day for us.

A bit more about the wedding from Cory the Photographer

When Andy and Lindsay first set eyes on each other, they felt not just a spark but a deep connection. Immediately, they hit it off and seemed to understand each other like old friends would. One long conversation turned into another, and each date was better than the last. So, it made sense that not long after their friendship transformed into something more that they decided to tie the knot.

Andy Langer is a well-known local DJ for Austin City Limits Radio, writer for Texas Monthly (and more), and local media darling. It just so happens we’ve run in the same circle of friends for both of our many years in Austin. His gorgeous bride Lindsay is the owner and chief acupuncturist at Five Element Austin. He spends many evenings out in the city hitting the music scene while her happy place is exploring and camping outdoors. But they complement each other wonderfully. Together, they are a dynamic pair with lots of style and a personality all their own. I was thrilled to have the honour of capturing their extraordinary wedding day.

They decided on the rustic, yet modernly luxurious, Addison Grove wedding venue in Dripping Springs, Texas. Many Austin couples chose Dripping Springs at a venue location because of all the gorgeous canopy of old trees, just about an hour outside of Austin. It was a perfect combination of their blended style. Although it threatened to rain & storm all day, the clouds finally cleared just in time, and Lindsay got the beautiful outdoor ceremony she wanted!

If you’re needing some colourful boho inspiration, definitely check out this event design for inspiration! I love the colourful bridesmaids’ boho robes, and especially the coordinating dress colour palette! The floral design was just the perfect touch with the pops of red, pink, and coral. Both bride & groom wore custom cowboy boots to show off their Texas roots, with the brides’s embroidered with A & L.
They exchanged their heartfelt vows beneath a canopy of trees, and it really was one of the most breathtaking ceremonies I’ve witnessed.

At the reception, they incorporated unique shibori table runners with patterned china (both in the blue and white palette), clear plexiglass table numbers, and an orange marigold at every place setting. The bride and groom’s seats were a gorgeous high backed orange velvet, that provided a major wow factor and did double duty for the Hora chairs. As elegant as the wedding was, you can’t ever go wrong with a late-night Whataburger delivery for the perfect touch of Texas! Congratulations to the happy couple on their gorgeous Addison Grove wedding!
