Today’s featured presentation comes to you from Nostalgia Film. Nostalgia Film are a husband and wide team Shanna and Michael Pharis who shoot in super 8 film and this particular film of Amy and Mark last June was shot on Black and white Super 8 film on a vintage professional camera.

Amy and Mark’s wedding was on June 19th 2010, on Clear Lake in the Bay Area of Houston, Texas. The film itself is very much in keeping with the super 8 silent movie era. There are no words just music over the moving images of this beautiful wedding. Shanna and Michael tell us about Super 8 Film ‘Super 8 film and 8mm film are the iconic film formats on which most silent home movies from the 1930s through the 1970s were shot. Super 8 is a very nostalgic medium, launched in 1965 and popularized in the 1970s, as it gained mass appeal. The flickers and film grain evoke an emotional response, and the look and feel of the grain and color of authentic film brings back happy memories of yesteryear.’
